Monkeys do NOT have the capacity to think about limiting baby nursing. She lives in the NOW! Which means only NOW Right now. So when is there room for , "Im going to limit my baby from nursing anymore that this." No way can they schedule feeding , regulate or anything close to that. Everyone who thinks this mom is being 'mean' and who 'want to take baby home' need to get over themselves. Chances are really good that baby has drained mom's milk and she knows she is empty so nursing attempts are painful - and fruitless! She is not being mean. She is teaching the baby that she will decide when it's feeding times. If she doesn't than the baby will be wanting to nurse 24 hours a day 7 days a week and will not learn how to forage and get its own food which means it won't be able to survive if anything happened to it's mother. She is feeding the baby. She's just not letting the baby be in control. It's not the same world we live in these are wild animals. The mother is actually showing Love by not letting her baby depend on her for everything 24 hours a day.

You don’t understand what weaning is. This baby is too young to wean. Weaning SLOWLY REDUCES the amount of milk a baby gets while increasing solid food. Weaning begins around 4 months. A baby may suck on some fruit but breastmilk is baby’s main food and also provides fluid/water.
Not how that works. They suckle which brings in the milk. She’s just a strict mom teaching baby that she’s the boss when it comes to eating and clinging.
How many days or weeks old. It is in their dna to be born and brought to the nipple, to eat and grow for up to weeks, or months. Then start weaning to only allow when Mom says ok. Just saying

I believe that it is impossible to deny milk to a baby that has no teeth, and as long as the baby has no teeth, milk is the only source of nutrition. If she does not want her baby, why does she allow herself to be impregnated? Just as she denies milk to the baby, she can also deny herself to the breeding bull.

I bet this would almost stop if the vo and all humans would stay far away and just zoom in or not run after them a lot if this would stop. But not only do the moms need to take care of the babies they also have to protect their babies from the humans. That would be enough to frazzle any mom. Then they take it out on the babies. Maybe they (the vos) should try that so the Monkeys could get some peace. Then maybe after a while they might get a true film of monkey life.

It's not that the baby monkey has no memory the baby monkey is very persistent and that in turn causes it to have a much greater chance at survival. I guess everyone knows about the velcro monkeys I don't believe you can beat them off with a stick if the mother had one or was capable enough intellectually to use it. One would hope that the mother cares enough and feeds the baby enough to where it isn't a skinny hollow-eyed little freak. on the other hand you do not want one that's going to be grabbing and fighting and pulling and yes the velcroing little rat when they're almost half the mothers size. so I would wish that the mother could have a happy medium🤔
