Love all of these series you’re doing, I remember when the slash first released and I’d race it in the slash class when short course racing was first coming alive. A few years later as a fun project I bought the ChuckWorksRC mid motor conversion kit for 2wd slash and raced it until I got a W. Cool to see!
I ran spec slash at The Factory once a month ago on carpet and I rented a Slash to run in the box stock Slash class. I was told I could make changes but I couldn’t change the gearing so I laid down the shocks and put some 50wt oil in the front and called it a day. I TQ’d and won the A main. It didn’t need higher gearing. I was getting wheelspin from the stock tires coming out of the sweeper onto the front straightaway.
Ur suspension tuning setup is ideal for smooth tracks my slash likes it soft with maximum travel on a rough bumpy track i run pro line power strokes all around second hole from inside on the rear first hole up front
i know i will not be up that way till next winter but can't wait to run my slash 2wd at big dog and i hope to have a couple more rc's by then. just starting my collection again and have had traxxas a bandit and rustler back in 95 so i know how good they can be when set up right for you when racing them. just glad they have a all metal gear transmission now days because you would strip a idler gear almost every week with them back then while racing them.
This is sick💯 I use to race full spec tekno 1/10 scale buggy’s and I prefer watching the trucks turned into race builds a lot cooler to watch in my opinion
In other words you will never be able to copy my setup because of all the proprietary homemade parts I'm not giving you the plans for 🙂. But have fun trying!
The cutting board shock towers are super neat

Love the series you do, would love to see a rustler up next for a stadium truck class if there is one where you race!
Awesome! Loved the video. Great detail. -- I look forward to your next racing video!!
Thanks for sharing. Looks like a great setup!
Great video. Cool build. Fast little truck
great video way to make the slash competitive keep up the great info

That's a well sorted rig. Very nice. Is it odd that I'm taking my Slash in the opposite direction?

Thank you
Great information! Thanks.
Good luck with your amazing projects!
Thank you!
Are you running the staggered 2wd wheel setup? The poke outside the body makes me think otherwise..
I dig it
Nice work brother, Traxxas could learn from you 😀
Thanks 👍
Always wondered what your setup was....now I'm gonna copy some of it.......check out the new clipless body mounts......pretty cool......😎👍
Where did you source the clipless body mounts...? Would you attach a link please...?
Tra6929....should be in your hobby shop.....they are awesome😎👍
Now how about the Bandito set up? Which wheels and tires are you using? Thanks!
Wheels are ae and tires are aka ultra soft slicks.
@@mxacres did you have to change the front spindle axles to make the ae wheels work?
Outstanding 😎🍻🍻🍻
Hey I've seen thos wheels in several videos. What are they?
Sorry if I missed this in prior content.
Not sure on the wheels. I got the used with proline tires
Looks like de racing wheels, available in white, black, silver, different specs for different shortcourse trucks.
I would really like to see the mounting of the front sway bar a bit better
On the shocks, what piston/ wt are you running and are you running limiters?
Stock proline pistons and no limiters.
Stupid winter. Stuck inside. Wife even took my belt n shoe laces. But at least these are entertaining
😂😂😂
What are the shocks that you reccomend for this setup?
Pro lines have worked the best with ae springs.
I may have missed it but what is your shock oil weight?
Crap I forgot. I’ll get back to you. I wrote it down somewhere.
will the shock towers be aluminum or carbon eventually?
Possibly carbon. Stay tuned.
looking at the half gallon of Beast in that fridge lol
Nothing to see here
I may be wrong, but didn’t the old VXL esc have a port for sensored motors?
I was wondering if you could tell me what your homemade tire sauce recipe is
Nice ride
Great video thanks dude 💯🥸
You bet
Drinking the ole' Financial Light?
😂
What servo are you running again? What kg is it?
can you trace the reat tower so I could replicate yours and have a good starting point?
Natural light, seriously! That's like drinking bud light... But still cool slash
Natural light is ALL natural. It says it right on the can! Wife approved.
Battery permanently mounted? Many clubs require LiPo charging in a bag/container.... obviously no such rule at your track?
Taped in.
Would you have a setup for a loose dirt track?
What weight shock oil do you run?
I remember for sure since that was awhile ago, but probably had around 32.5 ish
Kool
