GARBAGE! THROWN INTO CAN! the mouse does not go out when you shut down the computer! this is like gigabyte. the only way to shut down the muse is to shut down the power by throwing the plug on the back of the power supply! i thought this was limited to gigabyte. I got the asrock z390 pro4 and I can’t figure out where to plug in my rgb lights that go to the front fan! Does anyone know if there’s even a place to connect them on this motherboard ?
I need little help, I bought this motherboard few day ago and I still waiting CPU for it, problem is I notice that motherboard have 1 x 8 pin cpu connector and 1 x 4 pin and my new PSU have only 8 pin connector. Did you use only 8 pin connector for overclocking, was it stable?
You’ll be fine with the single 8 pin but if overclocking for extra stability I’d always recommend using an 8 and 4 pin eps if the board has it. You won’t cause any harm but I’d advise it for extra stability.
One more question. While installing CPU I heard cracking noise while putting presure on it with metal shield. Is that normal? Computer boot up normally but Im worried if I damadge something.
Z370 or Z390? i think it'll be more interesting question if you can test the i9 9900k on both boards. Default and OC. and test them for performance and VRMs temp. i know it'll be not much different in performance if it has no issues. but what matter is the VRMs temp. is it safe to run i9 9900k OC'ed on Z370? As far as we know, overheating VRMs can make the performance worse 😶
How did the voltage necessary to get it to 5ghz compare to other z390 boards? From what I have gathered, this board both takes more voltage and has higher voltage fluctuation under load.
well im running a 9900k at 5.2 ghz / 1.375v on one, zero voltage fluc durings load with llc1. the chip has been tested in a maximus extreme z390 too, and it only did 5.1 on that board, not even with 1.4v it would run 5.2, and that board is much more expensive.
not really. extreme 4 are always popular boards. extreme value for money, as always. there's several written reviews on it. im running a 9900k at 5.2 ghz on z390 extreme 4... it has better vrm's than most of the asus rog boards which cost pretty much double the price. so...
🔥🔥Will you be buying the Z390 Extreme4 from ASRock or will you be going for something else?🔥🔥
The Extreme 4 series always been good, pack a lot and price wise is a no brainer.
just did. too bad about the Wi-Fi, though.

If i have only one GPU I guess I should use the top (PCIE2) slot right? Evne though it is very close to my cpu noctua cooler.
you should use the top x16 slot with metal yes. it will work just fine.
Damn...i remember asrock...cool rgb.. i wanna put it in a TT22G case or lepa 502
I'd go for the Thermaltake personally. The Lepa looks a bit ugly in my opinion.
This sounds more like an ASRock commercial then a review
Why can’t you just say lights instead of rgb
which would be the go between Extreme4 or Z390 Aorus Elite or MSI tomahawk for intel i7-8700 chip ? thanks
Is your chip the 8700 or 8700k?
If its the non (k) then any would be fine and I would suggest the asrock or aorus.
8700 , thank you
gigabyte software is complete garbage. msi is not the best either, but better. i'd go with asrock for sure.

Would this mobo be better than the asus tuf z390
That’s my question too
What good wifi module does anyone recommend for this board?
is this motherboard good for streaming pc?
Motherboard doesn't really dictate that, it's more the CPU, SSD, etc...
I see.. Is there any possibility you could help me choose parts for streaming/gaming pc for 2000€ (2247$)
