- Yeah, it’s been quite a while since I did a “Let’s Play” video, so here is my newest one in a long time, and my first Living Books/Wanderful Interactive Storybooks “Let’s Play” video of my introduction to Marc Brown’s “Arthur” universe: “Arthur’s Teacher Trouble” from 1992! Predating the long-running animated series by four years, it’s pretty strange nowadays compared to said series!

Arthur's Teacher Trouble Became Two Different Episodes In The TV Show Arthur And The Real Mr. Ratburn And Arthur's Spelling Trubble
I first discovered Living Books in late 1996-1997, when I lived at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
I remember Tomservo3's ytp on this. I lost it when the scene in the kitchen comes on and you can hear "it's bullsh*t I did not hit her" as if dad were saying it on the phone on the other room
Arthur's got da moves.
I'm starting to think Zak Wolf and I lived the same life... We both went to two different elementary schools, our mom loves us, we both grew up in a house with "Arthur", both our houses had kitchens remodeled... Damn.
Of course with me, the reason I went to two different elementary schools was because one had kindergarten and the other didn't. Now ALL the elementary schools here have kindergarten, and the school I had kindergarten at is now a K-8 school!
@@ZakWolf the school I attended kindergarten at is a K-8 school now as well! How funny... I only went to two different ones because my mom remarried and we moved into a bigger house.
Glad that you did a Let's Play of this game, Wiley. Like I said, this was one of the Living Books games that I remember owning as a kid, along with "Ruff's Bone", "Little Monster at School", "The Tortoise and the Hare", and "Arthur's Birthday".
7:39 - I remember doing that a few times on the bus when I was in school.
13:40 - I also remember that cuckoo-clock sound was also used in "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West" and in the "VeggieTales in the House" episode "Sorry, We're Closed Today".
15:40 - Yeah, I too am aware of how D.W. was always voiced by a boy in the TV series.
18:24 - You forgot to click on the flour bag! When you click on it, it gets hit by an arrow directly in the bullseye marking on the front then acts in agony from getting shot, before falling off the counter.

I remember Playing living books when I was a little kid!
And who doesn't remember Descriptive Video service?! (DVS)
I thought this game came out in 1993 when Bill Clinton was sworn in as 42nd President of the United States, the series Doogie Howser, Saved by the Bell, Cheers and the Wonder Years ended on Television, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers debut and Jurassic Park was released in theatres!
1993 was also the year "Animaniacs" and "Rocko's Modern Life" debuted!
But sources I've read online state this game came out in fall 1992, and I have seen pictures of the disc online with a 1992 copyright notice. They also state "Just Grandma and Me," the first one, came out in later winter-early spring 1992.
You missed the the page below the trumpet on Page 1, Binkie's head on Page 2 and the flour package on Page 5.😐
One thing I don’t understand: how did Mrs. Read get the idea that Arthur’s map of Africa was a map of Florida?
They both look kind of similar if you look at it from a certain design
Well, I know Arthur is only eight, but that looks like neither Africa nor Florida.

Arthur dancing to the beginning reminds me of Peanuts with the same piano jazz tune playing.

I grew up on Grandma and Me, Tortoise ad the Hare, and I think Dr. Seuss's ABCs
I used to play Living Books CD ROMs at Kindergarten. The ones I mostly did were Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat In The Hat. Now, I view Let's Plays of those.
11:33-11:39 Another example where that happens is, as I would know, the Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree Animated Storybook CD ROM (which I have played).
I actually plan on doing a playing of this next year to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary

I don't have this CD ROM, but I have seen the episode. And I also have and read the book.

15:25-15:32 Too girlish sounding if you ask me! I somehow more prefer the boy actor voice versions. Though I really find it weird that they had boy actors voicing her in the TV series.

Strangely, no. This story was his only appearance. It's also strange, given how the show would often introduce new characters.

Great stuff ton of hands on activities great games and tons of passion put into these projects since some of these Arthur living books predate the series
