Also me I lived in Fostoria from 98 to 09 I went to riley elementary which is not there no more I think fosteria middle school and high school are the only schools still there that I went to
I could tell you over more about this to what i remember when I was a kid where J Nails is a at there was an old time movie theater, and next to j nails was a hair salon called Fiesta ,and little ways up there by Rent-A-Center used to be RadioShack and also a movie rental place I can't remember off hand what the name was,and the supermarket used to be called Food Town then great scot, then a bit down was Family Dollar and Goodwill, and a Alltel store at the very end, that's what I remember was out there.and for the watershed is been there for years they built that some where in 2000 on on up don't remember what year they built that.and the auto parts store used to be McDonald's then it went to Carquest and then and then after I don't remember what it was.
I remember Video connection (a vcr rental store), great scott, k mart before it was big k, a clothing store called the stage, there was a bar out there at 1 point, a beauty salon called fiesta, an animal hospital, i remember a circus in the parket lot area with a lion as the main attraction, a radio shack was out there at 1 point, planet fitness was out there at 1 point as well.. Sad to see nothing there anymore
Thanks for the comment I don't know how I completely forgot what those businesses were. I used to live in that trailer park right next to that shopping center when I was young
I grew up in Fostoria. I remember when nearly every single one of those stores were occupied and operating. I remember going to Big K-Mart many times, I remember the Great Scott that used to be there, the Goodwill, and the number of smaller chain stores. Now its pretty much only the Rent-A-Center that operates there. I'm surprised it hasn't closed yet. I do with Fostoria would do something with the old plaza but I highly doubt that will ever happen. Hell they've neglected it so much that sign that shows all the stores there STILL HAS THE GREAT SCOTT ON IT! Last i saw anyway. That Great Scott was gone long before Big K-Mart finally closed
It most certainly was a SamGoody, and never less than 3 tenets. The end space of middle building was most recently a ProMedica Rehab Center. In 2004 there was only 1 unrented space in the entire center.
I filmed this during liquidation and non closing stage. Great job !!! Going to check out the rest of your channel. Plus you get a new SUBSCRIBER!!!! Hell yea
Long long time ago I remember living Therefore a long time go fostoria Redmen I being the elementary school I attended is closed now also Riley Elementary
Theyve veen fixing up that great scott side of the plaza The old goodwill and family dollar has all new walls and insulation. And tue great scott building has new refridgeration and heating and cooling systems and have gutted the entire insude
That's true, it was my first time there... but if you look through the comments, a lot of people have helpfully given me tons of info on what was there in the past

And that's how you know you're in a midwestern town when the bench for the grocery store says got jesus
Theres been a reptile place, a cheer and dance studio and a smoke and vape store and a gambling place
The first store after the supermarket that had the white and red paint used to be a family dollar
It was a Great Scot supernarket, at one time was a Buckeye Mart, a Family Dollar
The supermarket was a Food Town.
The former "Pay Less" was actually a Sam Goodie for a very brief time.
It was a Sam Goody for a little bit. I can't believe I forgot that at one point I lived in the trailer park next to that shop in center
There was also an unemployment office and a movie theater.
I miss the Kmart
WaterShed was built new several yrs ago...the old photo shop was in front of grocery store an gone for probably 3 decades or more.
The office that you thought was a docs office was actually a rehab center for fostoria community hospital
Oh that makes sense
In the 70's there were clothing stores and a Burger King.
You got my vehicle in the video as i was driving by yikes

A lot of misinformation here, you don't seem to know much about the area or it's history.
That's true, it was my first time there... but if you look through the comments, a lot of people have helpfully given me tons of info on what was there in the past
