  • Testing An Aldi CO2 Inflator. Vlog 227.
I have had a CO2 inflator for many many years, but I thought that I would buy a newer type that has a control valve. I'd seen these Aldi one a few weeks ago.
    Thanks for watching the vlog.
Have fun in this horrible weather we have in the UK at the moment.

Thanks for this, was just about to buy a more expensive inflator with no on/off valve (that would then leave the inflator head "live" once the canister had been punctured and not fully used) so this demo has me buying from Aldi. Note this is now (16/9/19) an online item only 👍🏻

Can you use a refillable CO2 cartridge with this inflator?

Hi Duncan...never used the co2 inflators....are they just one use, then dispose of ? or if there is any air left do they keep ? Good vid 👍🏻

You are a McNutta mate😂😉 Nice buy, I use CO2 and have push on in both saddle bags and have found them to be a life saver, in fact had a puncture Saturday just gone and completely forgot to put my saddle bag on the Defy😬🙄 Lucky the guys carried spares as well😁 Nice to see you resting on rest week, so much easier to rest when it’s pi55in down outside😉👍🏻

Hello Duncan yeah it’s a Lezyne pump my man that I’ve got. Great price of the Aldi pump though 😀👍🏻

Is there anything Aldi don't do? I managed a quick 32k yesterday in some light drizzle

Try out Crankbrothers Klic Hp Gauge + Co2; is not that cheap, but it's much better and easy to use. Comes with a built in gauge. There's a high volume version of it, the high pressure is good for everything, road bike (high pressure) or mountain (high volume). The Co2 adapter is very tiny.

i've got one of these but ended up not liking the weight and just carrying a pump.

That thing does not work very well. the reviews on Aldi are really bad. Lots mention that o-ring detaching and the pin failing to work after one use.

That's great, I have the Lezyne version, but the form in that Aldi looks even better!

@@DuncMcNutt it's alright actually, as with most Lezyne stuff, form and function, but an eye watering amount when you lose it (as I did last year) I bought another as it's so bloody good. Obviously only a get you home as CO2 leaks through tube walls faster than 'air'

Hi Duncan are CO2’s ok to use with tubeless? We do carry some around with us just in case, but have so far never needed to use one. Thanks 🙏🏻

    • @geraldinecoupland4162
      @geraldinecoupland4162 5 років тому

Duncan McNutt thanks for your reply 👍🏻 we do carry a small hand pump too just in case. I was just wondering as we bought pre-filled saddle bags with canisters in when we bought the bikes from Giant, but just happened to be told by someone recently we couldn’t use them with tubeless!!! So we were wondering then why sell the bags when they knew we were riding tubeless tyres!! It’s great getting advice from people like yourself who have been riding for a long time and the most knowledgeable 👍🏻😊

Duncan McNutt we understand having tubeless a puncture should seal to get us home (depending on size of puncture/rip in tyre of course) and we carry inner tubes too. 👍🏻

Hi Duncan that’s a great buy. I’ve also got a CO2 inflator I’ve had for a few years. I may have used it just the once. But I always refer back to my hand pump. After seeing your Vlog I might start to use my CO2 canister a bit more often now. specially if it’s cold and I don’t want to stand around too long.
Thanks for another great Vlog 💯🚲👍
