I'm 43...Was hardly 7 when I first heard that song at home...And how moved and surprised I was last summer, while drinking a glass of wine at the top of a Hill in Portugal, when my 2 children aged 16 and 14 came to me and asked me if I knew about "running up that hill " and Kate Bush?!?😅...Then we put it on the speaker and sang together! Since then, I have watched all seasons of Stranger Things in a row! And rediscovered hits of the Past...of my childhood...: the Clash, Talking Heads, the Police, Peter Gabriel, Musical Youth😅😅...even Metallica?! Just THANK YOU for that!

I've just finished watching season 4 of "Stranger thing". I'm still in shock over everything that happened, and I hope Max will wake up and recover from her coma. I can't belive how every character's story developed through all of the four seasons. The story, the writting in this series was so good, it totally got me! I didn't expect to love that story so much. It felt like I got sucked into it and just couldn't resist. For the past.... (i don't even know, weeks?) I'd watch next and next episodes, whenever I got any free time. Max's story was so touching, her character development was great, even though she appeared only in two seasons. I cried so many times during the whole series, I can't even count it! All the characters struggling with their own problems and traumas of the past.... it felt so real. I felt sorry even for the characters I used to hate, because some of them are just tragic characters in some way. What I loved about the portrayal of Max's character was the fact that music was so relevant in her life. I know it's simple. I'm not a depressed person, hence why I cannot relate to Max as much as a lot of other "Stranger things" fans, but she's still my favorite. I'm struggling as a highly sensitive person and music also play an important role in my life. In Max's case, her favorite song was the key to help her get back to reality. What I love about Max's character is how much the characters like her are helping people struggling with mentall illnesses and every other struggles in real life. To everyone who's reading this comment: don't give up. You can do this. I know it isn't easy. I'm so proud of you for making it this far. Please, keep fighting. Keep fighting your own "Vecna". There are people who care about you and love you. The acting and emotions of Max's actress, as well as every other actor's were simply phenomenal. I love how Lucas was always there for Max ❤️ Can't wait for the final season! I'm adding "Running Up That Hill" to my music playlist right now!!

I remember when this song was released when I was teen. The sound of Kate's voice singing the amazing lyrics paired with the synths hit me on a deep level. To this day its still one of my favorite songs. When I realized the Duffers Bros used "Running Up The Hill" as Max's theme I legit had tears in my eyes. Everything about Max's back story and struggles is such a common 80s teen tale. To see Max gain courage and strength from listening to the song and by the support of her friends was so powerful. To see her thrive in the face of impossible odds was truly one of the best character developments I've seen in tv/film in ages. Max's story isn't over yet. I cannot to see where the Duffer's take Max in the final character.

Wow was revolutionary for it's sound and absolutely killed, This woman's work will break your soul 🤣, and Babooshka is always fun. There's heaps of other great songs, but those stick our for me. However... Never be mine, Rubberband girl, Running up that Hill, Army Dreamers, the man with the child in his eyes, the sensual world, hounds of love, the big sky are all the one's off the top of my head that are also beautiful, and I know there's heaps more I am forgetting... Kate Bush is super underrated.
@@Ethan-zr6ee As a long time fan I would say: try something off every album first, see what appeals to you most, and then go listen to the rest of that album. Her music differs from era to era, and everyone has their own preferences. Maybe the hit compilation "the Whole Story" is a nice place to start, it has stuff from her early period (albums "the Kick Inside" and "Lionheart"), from her more experimental years after that ( "Never Forever" and my fave "the Dreaming"), and from the period that "Running" is from (the albums "Hounds of Love" and "the Sensual World", although on "the Whole Story", that last album is not featured). She made another three albums after that, but like I said, the Whole Story is a good place to start.

I've just finished watching season 4 of "Stranger thing". I'm still in shock over everything that happened, and I hope Max will wake up and recover from her coma. I can't belive how every character's story developed through all of the four seasons. The story, the writting in this series was so good, it totally got me! I didn't expect to love that story so much. It felt like I got sucked into it and just couldn't resist. For the past.... (i don't even know, weeks?) I'd watch next and next episodes, whenever I got any free time.
Max's story was so touching, her character development was great, even though she appeared only in two seasons. I cried so many times during the whole series, I can't even count it! All the characters struggling with their own problems and traumas of the past.... it felt so real. I felt sorry even for the characters I used to hate, because some of them are just tragic characters in some way. What I loved about the portrayal of Max's character was the fact that music was so relevant in her life. I know it's simple. I'm not a depressed person, hence why I cannot relate to Max as much as a lot of other "Stranger things" fans, but she's still my favorite. I'm struggling as a highly sensitive person and music also play an important role in my life. In Max's case, her favorite song was the key to help her get back to reality. What I love about Max's character is how much the characters like her are helping people struggling with mentall illnesses and every other struggles in real life. To everyone who's reading this comment: don't give up. You can do this. I know it isn't easy. I'm so proud of you for making it this far. Please, keep fighting. Keep fighting your own "Vecna". There are people who care about you and love you.
The acting and emotions of Max's actress, as well as every other actor's were simply phenomenal. I love how Lucas was always there for Max ❤️

I remember when this song was released when I was teen. The sound of Kate's voice singing the amazing lyrics paired with the synths hit me on a deep level. To this day its still one of my favorite songs. When I realized the Duffers Bros used "Running Up The Hill" as Max's theme I legit had tears in my eyes. Everything about Max's back story and struggles is such a common 80s teen tale. To see Max gain courage and strength from listening to the song and by the support of her friends was so powerful. To see her thrive in the face of impossible odds was truly one of the best character developments I've seen in tv/film in ages. Max's story isn't over yet. I cannot to see where the Duffer's take Max in the final character.

Kate Bush is super underrated.
@@Ethan-zr6ee As a long time fan I would say: try something off every album first, see what appeals to you most, and then go listen to the rest of that album. Her music differs from era to era, and everyone has their own preferences. Maybe the hit compilation "the Whole Story" is a nice place to start, it has stuff from her early period (albums "the Kick Inside" and "Lionheart"), from her more experimental years after that ( "Never Forever" and my fave "the Dreaming"), and from the period that "Running" is from (the albums "Hounds of Love" and "the Sensual World", although on "the Whole Story", that last album is not featured). She made another three albums after that, but like I said, the Whole Story is a good place to start.
