Thanks Igor! I've been quiet for a while because I'm working on a big Event Photography course that I hope to finish soon. Stay tuned!

I think you first try is pretty damn fine.

For the shots that need to be extra steady, I wouldn't even use a cable release. I would go for a wireless option - either IR trigger or radio frequency based trigger system. Plus, I would put the camera in the mirror lock-up mode to reduce the vibration when taking the shot.

Thanks for sharing. Did you correct for the lens used, or used a function like upright in lightroom. It seems there is some room for improvement in getting the vertical lines perfectly vertical. Is that brown/white table rectangular or square? What lens did you use?

Thanks for sharing your experience! Your friend has a beautiful home. On that last shot, I think that you could've gotten the verticals a little better, tho. But I like the lighting, it looks very nice.

Great results on both of those photos. Beautiful lighting from firing the flash through the umbrella. Looks very naturalistic. Actually, I'm glad you used the umbrella instead of bouncing the flash off the ceiling. I find that bouncing it off the ceiling can make the lighting a bit flat. Out of curiosity, was the umbrella positioned front on or was it at an angle?

Yay Phil, thanks for the new video! Great timing too, I just discovered Mike Kelley's site this week. This is an amazing technique and you've inspired me to try it out.

Great… what flash power do you use for the layered images to be used in photoshop? When using flash on the stick for highlighting different areas do you do that using your base exposure or underexposed image? Thanks.

Hi! Great video, thanks for sharing the experience! Which software do you suggest to use one iPad for making the exposures without running always to the camera for pressing the button?. (Mike Kelley also use this as far as I know)

If this is how mike kelly teaches don't do it - way to much post check out scott hargis - all that could have been done in camera with zero post.
