Camper van! Have you ever seen the Jacques Tati film Traffic? There is a Renault 4 in it that is kitted out as a camper van with all sorts of tricks, just like a mini Dormobile.
OM606, loads of boost and off up the drag strip. Fella I remember years ago had an early 60s Ford Zephyr hearse, jacked up at the back, centreline wheels, 7.5 litre yankie V8 under the bonnet and a huge supercharger up through it. He used to drag race that in the 90s with all the fittings still in the back and an undertakers hat.
Was thinking more about this and besides the fun that could be had with a drag racing or hot rodded hearse, there could be money to be made too. Most car nuts would love something like that for their own funeral. You could make it available, at a price, to undertakers within a certain radius of home.
I have a clue or two , and it's a rusty pile .I know the English are not afraid of rusty cars, but having worked on dozens of them ,I cant see it as being a viable proposition. 😁
t's good to see people saving these old cars when it comeing home
Saw this on marketplace few weeks ago, feared it would end on the oval, very happy to see it going to get some love
It's good to see people saving these old cars, I'm a Citroen guy, I've got a 400ak for sale, I'm in central Scotland.
Do the OM606, a big turbo, straight pipe exhaust, keep the hearse fittings, sort the body and some shiny wheels, it would be fabulous.
a mate of mine used to run round in an old hearse he used to get some funny looks especially while camping in it up in Snowdonia
Restro mod I reckon, seriously cool looking car

How as that managed to stop parked at side of road in that state without getting towed ? 😁🤘
Could be a nice looking pickup truck
I've scrapped better W111's here in OZ. Those carbs are famous for causing hassles So it's no surprise to see it being hard to start.
I think the “bodies “ in the back were in better condition than the merc 😅😅😅
Change it into a estate, and 606 turbo and have a ball
Hi mate how much would cost to convert w115 with 606
Bunch of seats in the back and it’s a stretch limo 😅
Ah, you can't beat a hearse with its' "original body." 🤣
neat motor.why not eh.
Fit a tow bar and convert a trailer into a crematorium.
£3000 you must be mad !!
You don’t have a clue!
@@vintagebentley Obviously
