The fact that they made so many references to their old mvs makes me think that this may be their last comeback for a while…and also the first lyric saying that “this ain’t a comeback bc they never left” is so freaking funny bc they were gone for two years 😭😭
I think by that reference they meant they never left bc they were still breaking records left and right regardless of being on a hiatus for 2 yrs. Which is a huge flex....remaining the #1 gg for 2 yrs without music? Thats definitely a flex. And YG knows it, but like Seb said, they was saving this song- It's possible this was supposed to release sooner, maybe this reference would've made more sense if it was released earlier...?

THIS is what im talking about. I had trouble with Pink Venom and getting into it, I still do, but *this* is fantastic. Easily likable on the very first listen. Just came here after listening to the whole album. It's quite decent. I'll give my thoughts when you post your reaction for Born Pink album. But Shut Down is good, Chaesoo literally slayed, I got my wish 😭 You've redeemed yourself YG, good job.💕

I loved pink venom a lot but I understood why a lot of ppl didn't like it or why they didn't like everything about it but idk who would dislike shut doswn, it's so good imo, and we literally got almost everything blinks wanted like If they are going to complain again idk why like shut down is a really likeable song, pulls you in, not really overwhelming, this is a new era for bp. I really hope ppl appreciate this album, not going to lie, I haven't listened to the album yet and it's killing me (I agreed that I would listen with my friends but they are not here yet 😭) I pray that I like it as much as shut down or even more..

I have to be real with you. Jenlisa did what they always do they start it off with Jennie and then we have jenlisa rapping either in English or Korean. But here Chaesoo sounded new and fresh even their confidence is top notch and you can her the sassiness and the emotions in their vocals throughout the entire album. i don´t'wanna hear anyone say it sounds like a normal blackpink song because no it doesn´t, its a new sound. also i loved their album, i don´t know much about your personal music taste but i will say born pink is different from ¨the album¨, in my opinion it just sounds more cohesive but i loved both and i feel like you can see/hear so much improvement from the girls, i just really have no complaints (besides wishing it was longer) im much more excited to see them at their LA show now

Born Pink is the big pop album the girls of BLACKPINK were born to make.
