2D image Depth Map to 3D object with Grasshopper

- 📣 Next Ambrosinus Toolkit version will include obtaining a 3D object (Mesh or PointCloud) through the monocular depth map estimation process - the new motto is: "What You See Is What You Test" WYSIWYT.
"DPTto3D" component can generate different depth maps (in many Matlabplot palettes) and a PLY file. The designer will able to manipulate the point cloud as he/she wishes especially throughout the new Rhino 8 command: "ShrinkWrap". Some frames have been speeded up.
The Ambrosinus-Toolkit project is always under development and will be part of different Academic Research and experimentations. Stay tuned!

I watched your videos today, which are so gorgeous , please keep trying it
Great Explorations! 👏👏
will this integrate the new Depth-Anything
Thank you for your inquiry. I will try to integrate from time to time the most relevant preprocessor (or annotators) that will be implemented into the WebUI interface.
you should 3d print the model :)
Great idea Marco I will follow your advice! 😊 Thanks and stay tuned!
Thank you so much! It's eye-opening!
When I am trying the get model file from MiDas, the build101 component alert shows
1. Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\GH_CPython\PythonFileWritten_1.py", line 58, in
import cv2
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cv2'
Do you know what might cause this issue?
Hello, and thanks for your message! Seems that you did not install all the Python libraries on your machine. Please, have a look here: github.com/lucianoambrosini/AToolkitDpt (the error says that you missing the OpenCV-python library) 😊
@@LucianoAmbrosini Appreciate your help sir! I have figure it out!
Hey, I´m trying to use the the DPTto3D component, but I can´t get it to work.
I downloaded Python 3.10 and did the procedure with requirements.txt, then I downloaded one pretrained dataset.
I downloaded GH CPython and ran Rhino as an admin, but it does not show up.
Any advice?
Hello, and thanks for your message. Please, reach me out by email and ASAP I will test your settings and above all files (share the with me) 👍
