Russia goes to North Korea for Ammo, will they supply?.

When you consider that Russia expended an estimated 10 to 11 million artillery and rocket rounds last year in Ukraine and that this continues to be a war dominated by the use of artillery rounds, the question remains, where will they find the ammo to continue this into 2024 and beyond. Unlike Ukraine, Russia doesn’t have NATOE to rely on.
Ordinarily you would have expected it to reach back into history and just put its country on a war footing, turning its factories into arms manufacturing, getting the ladies into the production lines and starting to churn out soviet level numbers of equipment and ammunition. The problem with that, is that despite what the Kremlin would have you believe, the war is about as popular amongst its population as having your prostate examined by the incredible hulk. Nobody in that country is particularly enthused to die for Mother Russia, especially in an illegal war with a neighbour.
So you need to continue manufacturing your borscht flavoured crisps and shitty vodka to keep the population happy. You can’t have a return to the soviet era breadlines or things might get a little warm for Herr Putin.
So he does what any dictator does, he goes to brother in autocracy, Kim yon oon for some hardcore military style loving.
Do not worry, North Korea is not going to suddenly manufacture the worlds most audacious and brilliant wonder weapon. No. These people can barely feed themselves. What they can provide and undoubtedly will provide, is old fashioned soviet era ammo.
I am talking 7.62 for the AK’s. 100 to 152millimetre shells for the artillery and maybe some Grad rockets. Its not going to be special its going to be dumb, buts that how Russia works. Large volumes of dumb artillery carpeting an area. Sadly, as we have seen, if it shoots it kills and many valiant Ukrainian men and women have fallen victim to dumb old Russian artillery.
Will it extend into artillery systems?
Absolutely. If it shoots and the Russians can operate it, he will sell it and they will buy it. There is nothing the west can do to North Korea. Can you become more pariah than you were yesterday? Highly doubt it, because as we know that fatty from North Korea likes all the trappings of western wealth and that doesn’t come cheap. So, he is going to demand some serious currency for his stockpiles, and we are not talking roobles either. It will be foreign currencies or at least access to them so that he can pay off his black-market shills to provide him with everything he needs to remain fat, whilst his poor citizens starve and eat worms.
The only way for the world to do anything, is to freeze Russian foreign assets now and I mean completely. There should be no way to pay for this and that will put pressure on the whole deal. Russia and North Korea know this, that is why they are denying everything. They need to be able to get the cash in hand first.
But the west won’t even try, just ask the Swiss. They are a tired sad bunch who seem happy to do the minimum.
