Anyone having issues with bait and was lucky enough to get lures I highly recommend going to ghent with the jelly shad for candy canes, falcon with the jolly narrow spoon for the decorated and the everglades with the jelly craw for the fishy ornaments. you can also catch the angel topper chain pickerel with the merry runner at emerald lake.
The jolly walker is for the chum salmon at Kaniq Creek but I don't know if they're in this year, seems like half the event isn't in but it's slightly easier then previous years. the jolly spoon, I believe is for the Asp at Aktuba and Tiber. but I don't know if they're in it this year either. Hey Dave, I am not going to finish the Xmas Event. I spent 11 hours to get just the decorated Red Crappies at Lone Star, I have gone through all of the of the bait I purchased from the holiday pack, Part of the Krampus Pack,. Even though I have got almost $7000 in game money and gone thru almost 250 different baits, when I find myself swearing at a computer screen, it’s time to stop. Just went to all lakes to get presents, got all fireworks, 1 lure, no bait. Something wrong here.
The fireworks actually seemed to make the difference for me. I spent hours trying to catch the first five then lit of some fireworks and caught the last five in less than an hour. Also early morning seemed to be the best time.
Wasn't having much luck getting some of these baits but did have the lures. I caught 2 out of the 10 Red Drum without fireworks going on the Jelly Shad but those 2 took forever. I caught the last 8 relatively quickly with fireworks going off. 3 casts with the Merry Runner at Emerald lake and nothing but on the 4th cast with fireworks going off I caught the Decorative Chain Pickerel. Seems like from a conversation with another player and this video if you use the baits you don't really need the fireworks but with the lures it feels like you do.

Red drum at Everglades works fine with medium and large cut-bait and it looks like fireworks can trigger fish to bite.

Yeah that was added later and not much fun, the older part of the event was alot of fun though.

Jolly walker works well at Quanchkin Lake the spoon works well at Tiber River
