I loved watching the conductor. His moves are quite expressive.
Congratulations to Guy Shepherd, Thomas Payne, and all the young orchestra members for the truly wonderful and engaging playing of Anderson's Piano Concerto. At my age I am happy to see and hear the future of classical music at work here and now. Be strong and courageous and press on with your musical careers.
Thank you so much for your encouraging support.
Gratulations from Russia for such a great concert. L. Anderson is not well-known in our country, but everybody who hear his music fell in love with it.
Who knew the composer of Fiddle-Faddle wrote a bonafide piano concerto? Apparently it took the Brits to let us Americans know there were others out there beside the Gershwin and MacDowell.
Bravo! Wonderful to see you perform this, and to see this concerto flourish!
I am so glad to know about this music!
This yank salutes you!
AMAZING talent Guy! Looks like you performed this from memory! AWESOME JOB!! Keep up the GREAT work!! :-) ;-)
Thank you for this.
Wonderful concerto and performance. It was written at a time when this concerto and others were largely ignored because of a spate of more avant-garde music.
Kudos on a terrific performance. This was the first piano concerto that I performed and recorded as a soloist. I have always loved Leroy Anderson's music, and am delighted that you chose this work! Very well done!
Thank you!
Great work! Well done! Intelligent interpretation.
Good job Guy :)
Hey thanks. I will upload a second version with both ears so then it will be the best!
This was great. Since it's over a year since you posted it I hope that you've enjoyed great success with your studies. It's great to see young musicians making such wonderful music.
Hello, again. Enjoyed your performance. My piano duo partner and I are working on this concerto. We haven't started the first movement. If you a
Can't type on my iPad. We have recorded and posted Rhapsody in Blue for two pianos. If you rehearsed with a pianist who played the orchestral reduction, I would have some questions about interpretation. Best to you and thank you dor a great performance.
The movements:
I. Allegro moderato
II. Andante
III. Allegro vivo
Hey Anders! Goodluck with that. At the moment I can't garauntee anything because I don't know where i'll be. All the best mate.
Hello, guy,
Well done. You have made a huge journey on your BMus. Welcome to hear me play Rach 2nd sonata in Mulljsö on 20 feb, if you are in Sweden. /Anders

Can someone please check up on the chap at 05:09? He looks very depressed. Leroy Anderson ought to have the exact opposite effect on a person of good health.
What is the instrumentation of this concerto?
Good work. Very enjoyable! You can go to Stan M. Kaplan on You Tube for my original piano works.
This would have to be the worst recording of a concerto I've ever had the misfortune to listen to. The solo instrument is subordinated to every other one in the orchestra. Where on earth were the mikes placed? Someone must have had it in for poor Guy Shepherd, because he plays it very well and it is a lovely work. Pity
