    i want to draw stream line from fortran output file which is in format .dat
    what format i should follow to save that .dat file to load it in tecplot
    i mean to say how to specify variables, zones
    kindly help me

      I used the .dat file from Davis (PIV Software) which has an extension of Tecplot. It has this organization (NotePad):

    How can I see sliced 3d plot in 2d?

      You can set the side view (2D) for the case of this video for example (and not this almost isometric view 3D).
