So they just chilling together the whole game? That's kinda nice. 😂😂😂
Imagine just chilling with a guy who is marking you in the wc final
‘Hey sorry bro but the manager said I’ve got to stay with you the whole game’
‘Shit really bro? I was told the same thing’
they cancelled each other apparently
@@icegaming686This is what happened with Zidane 2006. And it ended with a butthead😂😂
@@gentleman2.061 Zidane had already scored.
The fact that Franz Beckenbauer passed away less that '3' months after Sir Bobby Charlton is fascinating...RIP to both Sir Bobby and Der Kaiser
They Even following themselfes to heaven, Thats what i Call manmarking 🤝 may they souls rest in peace
3 ft and 3 months that's interesting
Man marking till the end 😅
Still man marking
Rest in peace to the players who face me while I’m wearing his boots I shall honour him forever
Nowadays people would see such performances and say they both ghosted in finals
They did

Lovely to see Bobby when he was well

Bobby and Franz. Two fantastic players and real gentlemen. Don't try to be like Ronaldo or Neymar, try to be like Charlton or Beckenbauer.
well said my friend
💯 %
True , young kids should look up to them more than ney and CR7 tbh
What is the problem with CR7 or njr?@@shaqshairyballs
Still try and be like Ronaldo, he's worked his socks off to make the most of his talent.
From the age of six all I've ever known is Bobby Charlton.. A true gent and a world class legendary footballer.
The greatest defender and leader in football history, Franz Beckenbauer and another one of the greatest leaders, Bobby Charlton
May they rest in peace...
Greatest defender was maldini
Greatest leader was Diego Armando Maradona
But Der kaiser was bloody great in both leadership and defending!!

Lovely comments by Sir Bobby. But not strictly true. Beckenbauer spent the entire game tracking Bobby, who dominated proceedings. Watch the game.

Two legends of the game of soccer. Two gentlemen that made soccer great.R.I.P to great men of sports.
What the F is soccer?
@@akhileshnr9806 Another term for association football that's used in all English speaking countries where other variations of football is more popular.

Ppl mocking the use of the word "soccer" or acting like only Americans use the word "soccer" are showing ignorance in regards to the culture that influenced the development of football including of course the most popular version that most of us care about which is association football based on the rules written down by the Football Association which is still in control of English football hence the name ⚽.

No idea what the Morgan Freeman edit was for 🤷🏼♂️
Hahah
Said the same bro . There weak ass among everyone 😂
Morgan Freeman was like : who is Franz
The two greatest players for their countries
I really wish we get back this non-overly tactical and more free style of football instead of the robotic-style gameplay in the modern era...
Well, too bad because if one team decides to do what you said, they'll get battered, because tactics are developing in football.😂
Watch fluminense and malmö and gremio
Watch Real Madrid
I disagree respectfully.
I would argue man marking for 90 mins is more robotic than your classic 4-3-3 with moving triangles.
Might just be me though
@@GarlicBread2of2 Well im not being specific on this one, im just saying you dont see someone like Beckenbauer dribbling from one half of the pitch to the other and scoring a goal today. Take a point like this, pele wouldn't be able to play today like he did in the 60s because of evolved tactics. I like seeing players move freely And get past players with skill and dribbling, it might just be that I watch the premier league
Two great players and gentlemen.
Sir Bobby Charlton… out of all British people, ever, he was the best at this particular thing called playing football
As a teenager I watched Bobby for about 5 years in in the Stretford End at old Trafford
And this video has given me Goosebumps
And also reminded me of my dad who died 14 years ago, who brought me up to be a United fan and now my children who have seen the greatest years of Manchester United
2 supreme players. What would there worth be today ?
they'd be around the 150 million mark
@@leewainwright3526lmao. Neymar was 200.

Two real legends of football ❤❤
This is beautiful as it’s funny… I bet they turned very good friends afterwards

Long Live Sir Bobby Charlton and Der Kaiser❤❤❤🕊️🕊️🕊️

RIP legends of the game🕊️🕊️
It is called being a team player and doing your assigned job. They ended up winning and that was the ultimate goal accomplished within the rules.
That's the greatest defender that has ever lived
Bobby and Franz 2 of the greatest players ever to have graced the game Imagine their value today?
2 legends now in heaven sir bobby is widely regarded as england's greatest player think the same could be said about franz
Sir Bobby thank you for doing your job perfectly and winning us the World Cup
2 footballing legends miss bobby and franz so much❤
Just 2 legends playing in a legendary game together...
And so they just stood in the middle of the pitch, holding hands and cracking jokes for 90+mins.
Gold.
How articulate and eloquent the sportsmen were in those days made you proud to be British. Nowadays, they can't put a sentence together without using foul language ( F words and S words).
Rip 2024 took them both
That's not correct Bobby died 21st October 2023 and Franz on the 8th January 2024. Different years although quite close together.
Their story lives on. The amount of respect even in the heat of battle.
My old Jamaican Grandma doesn't even watch football (She probably has no idea who Franz Beckenbauer is) but she like all of us was super shocked to hear when Bobby Charlton died , absolute legend and a household name , as for Franz he's probably has the greatest footballing IQ to become a legend as player and a manager , in a lot of cases the greater the player the worse they are as a manager
My number was 6
Love frantz beackenbouer my hero
Brilliant Bobby, but both you and Franz Beckenbauer were rewarded so well with Legendry Status in the sport of football.
If you told me one day I'd watch Bobby Charlton talk about Beckenbauer and the world cup final of '66 over an orchestral rendition of Calm Down by Rema id have spat on ya
Two giants. Total Respect. ❤
Both of'em are now dead. RIP LEGENDS.
Sir Bobby, greatest ever English footballer.
Two amazing players time will never forget
Great story with great respect for two great players. As an American it’s fun to learn history of the game through stories such as these. I know we’re made fun in soccer world but must start somewhere & history of the game is great place to start. ❤
RIP to you both 😢
Both legends still in our heart forever
a sacrifice for greatness beyond them
Two absolutely brilliant players RIP Lagands 🎉❤❤🎉
Franz Beckenbauer,
Der Kaiser,
Pioneer Libero
What should be taken from this is the probably best two players on the pitch sacrificed themselves for the managers instructions for the team rather than personal glory
They are marking eachother in the heavens. Rip❤
When i watched utd all over the country in the sixties ,i never heard an opposing fan ever say a bad word about him
Great story. Sacrificing yourself for the good of the team 🙌🏻
2 legends ever ❤
The kisser , one of. The best , players & Captains . In world , football
What a sacrifice for both men, that must have been hard to have to suppress themselves in a WC final of all games. It clearly stayed with both of them many years afterwards. I'm there was an eventual funny side. R.I.P. both.
Especially for Beckenbauer. He was like 20 at the time. For a young player staying composed and sticking to the plan in a world cup final is very impressive.
Rest in eternal peace, Sir Bobby and Mr. Beckenbauer
These Guys were THE
FOOTBALLERS !
PERIOD!!
NOT neymar or ronaldo
England's manager said that they were going to win the World Cup because he knew that the referees were in England's side the whole tournament.. And Geoff Hurst's goal that didn't cross the line in extra-time was the proof of that.
RIP 🪦 Franz Beckenbauer 😢
Chilling witu each other the whole game
One of the all time greats
And the Ball still didn´t cross the line
Well you got it back through Lampard in South Africa, even stevens
@@biskitz86913 It was a start.
Lampards goal was way worse though, it´s one of these goals I still remember how it felt.
The hands over the head, looking up to the ceiling, the fear of maybe losing the game afterall ... and then all around me people started laughing.

1966 world cup team are my childhood heroes.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Booby is the man the legend
How shit, you’re two of the best players in the world, both boys with a dream and you’re both good enough to finally realise it and you’re both told to mark one another out of the game and forgo any creativity and willingly stifle your instincts.
The GOAT defender!!!
Legend has it that they are still man marking themselves even after death
Rip to both
They both babysit each other while the rest are out playing football 😂
Legends 🙌
Two LEGENDS of the game. In a weird way it’s fitting that they cancelled each other out here and and a Englishman I’m grateful that Der Kaiser didn’t play a bigger role!
They even went to heaven in a close time, probably markin' each other
Respect for the great man.....
