I've urged Kramer to go back to the original two-track master tapes (if they can be found) for any reissues of the material that might happen. We'll see.
That was nothing but a BUNCH OF NOISE!!! but it was BRILLIANT!!! :-) Always wondered what they looked like in performance, particularly the rake!! Fan-***kin'-tastic! DANG ME!!
I know, I know. I actually asked Eugene about a Shockabilly reunion and basically he and Kramer aren't talking, apparently over money and some remastering jobs that Kramer did on Shockabilly CD reissues. If you listen to Shockabilly cd's compared to the vinyl, you'll notice that Eugenes voice has been shoved WAAAAAY back in the mix. Can't we all get along? P.S. I'd LOVE to see more of this concert posted!
I saw these guys at The Jockey Club in Newport KY... they didn't do the rake thing... but they had some other broken down thing they plugged in and played... to about 10 people. It was a really fun and creative show!
I was actually at this gig. Tin Pan Alley was a little bar in NYC off B'way in the West 40's. Some good bands played there and there was no cover charge to get in. Ah, the memories! Anyway, Vietnam is a good album from that period by these guys. They were funny but also genuinely interesting if you don't mind wildly experimental and demented rock.

Awesome band, crazy and pointed. Kramer, Licht, and Chadbourne, the time is ripe for a Shockabilly reunion. The nation is ready.
