I love how you display builds that are meant for beginners, i remember back when i started 7 years ago and youtubers would say maiming strike was ideal for beginners... argon scope and those expensive mods.
I was opting for the hek but I remember I used it a lot and one thing that’s terrible about it is the 4 bullets and long reload but yes the weapon hits like a truck I agree
yeah missing the Hek on a top 5 weapon list for begginers is a huge whoopsie as it not only has big damage numbers but also bc it pushes beginner players to do the Syndicate missions so they can get the Scattering Inferno mod
I think I had a very different experience to most when I was a beginner. When I got the hek I was really excited as everyone says that it is really good. I wouldn't say that it was a disappointment but It didn't really feel that much better from what I was using. I don't doubt that it is powerful, most likely reason why I felt that way was because I didn't really progress through the star chart that much so everything was kinda good enough and being capped at 4 shots limited my kpm. Another reason might be because when I finished building the hek I was already mr6, where I have access to better weapons. I also didn't have the augment and at the time I didn't want to engange with the player market as I have yet to learn to. I would argue that by the time a new player reaches rank 4 on any syndicate that the should already be way beyond mr4. The xoris, I would say from my beginner experince, is what a new player should be aiming to obtain. I only started playing less than 3 months ago if anyone is asking. Also sorry that this comment is really long, I just wanted to share my very recent new player experiences.
@@WarframeFlo did you know that hek have an alt-fire that unload all 4 shells at the same time? 4x dmg, with the drawback of ammo consumption. and you can up it to 8 shells with prime and amalgam mods.
Best video I have seen for beginners you really capture those starter moments when yours mod great and your options ain't even but you make it work I remember using all of these weapons that you mention again great job
I'm a big fan of the Hirudo for beginners since it's MR7, and it has innate lifesteal & 5% to 25% health bonus that triggers with critical chance, so mod as much crit chance as you can get. As a beginner you don't have a lot of survivability options, so having added survivability is important. Other options for Primaries, like how others are suggesting the Hek I would also suggest the early game shotguns Kohm & Strun. All 3 guns have stronger variants, Kuva Hek, Vaykor Hek, Kuva Kohm, Strun Wraith, Strun Prime and Strun Incarnon. While there's a MK1 Strun that's just a weaker variant you can get with credits, and should sell as soon as you max rank it for mastery.
the torid is a great one for a part2, is m4, easy to craft since you only need one blueprint and you get it from the clan, aplies poison effect and scales pretty well to midgame with the right modding. love the guides, keep it up.
Hek+scattered Justice. MR4. add some more multishot mods, all you need for junctions and bosses. honorable mention for MR8 since scattered justice is a steel meridian mod: go red veil as well and get rakta dark dagger + gleaming blight. add a mod that can recover health like healing return or life strike and you got a swiss army knife that can recover shields, generate overshields, generate health and even energy when blight triggers. i like to call it easy mode.
@@sylokthedefiled scattered justice can be bought from steel meridian, the other multishot mods generally drop rotation B or C on endless missions or from eximus, for shotgun its Hell's Chamber or the upgrade would be galvanized Hell but you can only get those by arbitration if i remember correct. check wiki for Hell's chamber, works perfect with scattered justice. the only downside with scattered justice is that it ONLY works for Hek, much like an augment but it doesn't work on vaykor Hek or Kuva Hek. but if i would start over i would go for Hek right away with max multishot and status, get "condition overload" mod for melee to finsh anything off that survives a full barrage.
@@sylokthedefiled afterwards i would go for a very addictive combination: rakta dark dagger + gleaming blight and healing return or life strike. a dagger that makes enemies target you last, gives shield and overshield from consecutive hits, gives health over time for every enemy inflicted with status and blight gives energy when it triggers among other things. its a swiss army knife, not so much damage (unless you use condition overload or go for finishers) but it will help you survive any given situation.
@@sylokthedefiled i didn't even read my initial comment :D anyway, i checked: its mostly rotation B droptable, you are guaranteed to get it eventually, Shik Tal from grunstag three has a very good chance to drop one but you can get it in almost every game type (spy, defence, interception, survival, excavation...) by getting rotation B reward.
i would recomend the Cassowar over the Guandao (tho the Guandao Prime is bae) and the Boltor over the Soma, and add into the list the Hek as #1 prority. the Atomos, the Xoris and the Broken War are MUST have for any begginer
Yea I saw hek was recommended, How do u Make it strong tho ? because Kuva hek is also a thing, should I farm that ? and how do u get Broken war Back ? I sold Xoris And Broken war Due to Low numbers compared to my Other weapons , I know u can get xoris at cephalon which I will And Xoris had Buggy explosion but still
@@bumblebeekaiodinson331 the kuva hek has an alt fire that causes alot of burst damage, since it is a shotgun, you want to either greatly increase the pellets per shot with multishot mods, or you can go the status route and inflict so many that it can kill enemies over time.

once you start getting more slots the game opens up A LOT also because it's a F2P game doesn't mean you're not allowed to spend on it. Get the 75% off coupon and get yourself like 400 plat for 8 bucks. 100% worth it

No Kohm? That thing has carried me through the entire starchart shredding hordes and bosses with equal ease and is capable of dealing with lvl 100 sortie enemies.
I personally would put the broken war sword in this list near the end as you get it on Uranus from the second dream, very strong weapon and can do some very good damage for a mid star chart weapon.
I do hate the wait time to build items they make us wait through thats a down side of warframe 12hrs to 72hrs is a alittle too much. The work we put in to get the items to build something is a kick in the face to wait for it to finish building.
I just realized that some of the weapons that you mentioned are listed as "platinum" purchases...BUT, when you select the item you can select "purchase the "blueprint" of the weapon with credits!!!!! Because when I saw the platinum and thought, "well I can't afford THAT!" LOL Really enjoying all the helpful videos you have out!
I would strongly recommend the soma. It’s a great beginner main and you can build and collect up your mods to destroy with it. I loved it so much I got the incarnon form which I still use sometimes. As you progress and drop some galvanized and crit mods. That gun will shred.
The Hek is another excellent beginner weapon. It has its drawbacks to work around, but shotguns are much more economical to mod at the start of the game than any other type of primary you'll have, and that counts for a lot. Get a Hell's Chamber mod, max that out, then continue through your star chart, adding raw damage to your Hek with whatever you find. by the time the Hek falls off in effectiveness, you'll have loads of wonderful options to replace it.
How to aim with glaive type weapon for using controller? It's Melee weapon so the default button is ⭕/B but aim still with right analog, I can't press melee and aim at the same time
I just started the game, only have about 15 hours, and when I started I somehow got the atterax melee which had been absolutely carrying me through everything and i still have no clue how I got it.
i would prefer boltor over soma since you get boltor for free, and use boltor until whatever (for example ignis wraith) or jump over to dread if it drops. for secondary yeah its only atomos until you get access to kuva nukor and incarnon weapons there is an option to build kit gun which are very powerful but time consuming. and finally you get xoris and only xoris and kill the map forever since only glaive prime is better "in all of melee" and you are not likely to get that (its super expensive). so you should end up with ignis wraith atomos and xoris and you are good until steel path and even in it, however this advice is only if you want to know what is "most efficient" if you find any weapon you enjoy using do that, upgrade that and ignore all the try hard things in my post. have fun that's the point.
I'm in loving with Cerata for steel path since I got op Riven for it. And Build toxin and crits only for it hugely deals much damages than my non existing Glaive Prime. Waiting for Glaive prime to get rerun tho.

I really like the lesion but is at mr 8 and it requires like 3 days to craft, you need the tipedo that is obtained by crafting it but you first need to craft the bo and the kunai and then craft the tipedo and use it to craft the lesion, that when you don't one shot the enemy the next time you damage that enemy it inflict toxin damage based on your base damage (at least i think) and it has a lot of base status chance so you can use it to inflict damage and a lot of effects simultaneously Edit:apparently i am a member for a week by the time i write this but i never did this, is it bugged or what
As a new player the base ignis is really bad… I’ve been playing 2 days with it and it struggles a lot if you rush the star map and don’t have all the mods. / don’t Upgrade ignis in capacity.
Status is weighted, meaning if you want to proc a certain status, you have to have more of it. Certain builds only want to proc a certain element (i.e. heat for slash focused damage over time builds.)
Just going to say pls include what resources are needed for a build because i personally wouldn't say guandao is viable for a lot of people because you need argon crystals. Also i would personally reccomend spending early game plastids on warframe builds not weapons wait til you get to saturn to go crazy with the weaponry your farms will be 10 times faster on mid star chart planets
Really new player here, why build a weapon in the early game? Don't we want to level different weapons to gain mastery levels? (Seen some videos and nobody mentions it.)
I'm late, and you probably have found out already, but the reason is so you have a main loadout that's good as a daily driver to get you through the tougher content. A lot of people, including myself, choose to level their frames and weapons at a survival node, of a level that is appropriate for you. I personally use Stickney on Phobos to power level, but there are others.
@@pravus9769 Similarly if you've done excavation missions for relics (if not also good for leveling) try doing survival void missions and gather prime parts usually take breaks to switch out gear to level. Really good for mastery leveling
Why do you have speed trigger in an assault rifle? I get we're trying to use mods that low MR players would have... but... wouldn't you go for more damage?
Sorry for the noob question but just started a few days ago on this game. Your videos are great and explain things easily, But how is your capacity so high? Mine is alot less at max level and all.
Orokin catalyst, you can get them from nightwave credit offerings, they double capacity and can only be used once and cant be removed so you would need another for a different weapon, orokin reactors are for frames,
Why are Vectis and Nikana not here? Vectis can literally oneshot every enemy. And the reload speed is quicker than any other rifle I tried killing an enemy with. And on top of that, it’s the ultimate boss killer, no other Wep has higher single target dps than the Vectis. And the Nikana shreds through Enemy waves like grass, it is insanely good. Both together, Vectis for longer range single enemies and Nikana for close grouped enemies carries me hard through the star chart
And i Completed The Star Chart with a BO and Braton on Excalibur in 16 hours of SOLO Gameplay experience. Cool Guide tho i Guess . _. (I wish i saw this Earlier thats why im dissapointed)

You still can get detonite injectors, fieldrons and mutagen masses from invasions pretty easily, you just gotta get lucky with them being in the rotation of the invasions when you play.

You messed up your tutorial already buy recommending farming Platinum. They can get a catalyst from the Nightwave along with vauban and some augment mods Warframe weapon slots.

this is a very odd list of weapons to choose from imo, i wouldn’t throw in two glaives in the list like that, the xoris is very straight forward and should already be sufficient enough, the cerata should just be a second option if the player just accidentally sold the xoris. did it also have to be only 5 beginner weapons?? arent there more? like the rubico for various reasons like doing eidolon hunts. I wouldnt say this is a bad list of beginner weapons, I do agree that these are some decently good beginner weapons but its just the way you explain about them..from non-prime to the prime version with some difficult mods to fetch building those too. i feel like the idea of the video was just messy man. just dont see why it had to be only 5-7 weapons. My question about the top 5 beginners list is, is the Soma actually valid of the top 5 weapons for beginners..?

It's ok and doesn't really matter. Toh the bow is very useful because it can shoot through walls and its amazing if you know how to use it and its silent. Kunai and sword matter less as I used the bow until MR 6 that I switched to cirus and now I got the dread in the foundry

personally im a big fan of the lex high base dmg, MR3 and best of all can be bought with stright credits with no crafting time required

I use crit build hirudo on atlas with rage mod, man, i tell you unless they one shot me or stop attacking i wont die.

Personally I went for the broken war and put a forma on it and did very well all throughout the star system with no struggle

Somehow I got the kronen as a login reward. Its not bad thought i wish it had a bit more reach.

ORRRRR you can use volt and spam slide attacks with mellee and become a glorified beyblade. Its worked for me so far and if it aint broke dont fix it

Does viral need to proc to do the +100% damage, or does it just double your damage outright, and get better with procs?
As a new player the base ignis is really bad… I’ve been playing 2 days with it and it struggles a lot if you rush the star map and don’t have all the mods. / don’t Upgrade ignis in capacity.
Dumb question probably but, why not add extra elemental mods on top of these builds if you can afford the drain?
Status is weighted, meaning if you want to proc a certain status, you have to have more of it. Certain builds only want to proc a certain element (i.e. heat for slash focused damage over time builds.)
What should i do since i sold the xoris wep. Do i even need it, can i just use the cerata instead of xoris and not worry about it?

Just going to say pls include what resources are needed for a build because i personally wouldn't say guandao is viable for a lot of people because you need argon crystals. Also i would personally reccomend spending early game plastids on warframe builds not weapons wait til you get to saturn to go crazy with the weaponry your farms will be 10 times faster on mid star chart planets

Really new player here, why build a weapon in the early game? Don't we want to level different weapons to gain mastery levels? (Seen some videos and nobody mentions it.)
I'm late, and you probably have found out already, but the reason is so you have a main loadout that's good as a daily driver to get you through the tougher content. A lot of people, including myself, choose to level their frames and weapons at a survival node, of a level that is appropriate for you. I personally use Stickney on Phobos to power level, but there are others.
@@pravus9769 Similarly if you've done excavation missions for relics (if not also good for leveling) try doing survival void missions and gather prime parts usually take breaks to switch out gear to level. Really good for mastery leveling
detonite injector can come from invasion as well (once unlocked)
Why do you have speed trigger in an assault rifle? I get we're trying to use mods that low MR players would have... but... wouldn't you go for more damage?
Sorry for the noob question but just started a few days ago on this game. Your videos are great and explain things easily, But how is your capacity so high? Mine is alot less at max level and all.
Orokin catalyst, you can get them from nightwave credit offerings, they double capacity and can only be used once and cant be removed so you would need another for a different weapon, orokin reactors are for frames,

Why are Vectis and Nikana not here?
Vectis can literally oneshot every enemy. And the reload speed is quicker than any other rifle I tried killing an enemy with. And on top of that, it’s the ultimate boss killer, no other Wep has higher single target dps than the Vectis.
And the Nikana shreds through Enemy waves like grass, it is insanely good.
Both together, Vectis for longer range single enemies and Nikana for close grouped enemies carries me hard through the star chart
I remeber when i used hirudo with life strike then heavy to slam the ground and heal hah good days

You can get it with standing for one of the factions but it's really expensive

Still need the hint? You have to buy the blueprints from Cephalon Simaris, you need his standing for them. Quite expensive

What happened to getting Detonite Injectors from invasions? You often have easy invasions on the starter planets.
You still can get detonite injectors, fieldrons and mutagen masses from invasions pretty easily, you just gotta get lucky with them being in the rotation of the invasions when you play.

You messed up your tutorial already buy recommending farming Platinum. They can get a catalyst from the Nightwave along with vauban and some augment mods Warframe weapon slots.
if you cannot or don't want farm things to make platinum you shouldn't play warframe it's that simple

No obviously not but the the point of my message was in response to him. he is basically saying im wrong for reccomending players to farm platinum and get comfortable with it early to buy important things like catalysts forma etc etc if you choose to buy plat with real money then by all means go for it but selling and trading is a big part of warframe and the sooner they get comfortable and familiar with it the better their experience will be@@juhokettunen8245

this is a very odd list of weapons to choose from imo, i wouldn’t throw in two glaives in the list like that, the xoris is very straight forward and should already be sufficient enough, the cerata should just be a second option if the player just accidentally sold the xoris. did it also have to be only 5 beginner weapons?? arent there more? like the rubico for various reasons like doing eidolon hunts. I wouldnt say this is a bad list of beginner weapons, I do agree that these are some decently good beginner weapons but its just the way you explain about them..from non-prime to the prime version with some difficult mods to fetch building those too. i feel like the idea of the video was just messy man. just dont see why it had to be only 5-7 weapons.

It's ok and doesn't really matter. Toh the bow is very useful because it can shoot through walls and its amazing if you know how to use it and its silent. Kunai and sword matter less as I used the bow until MR 6 that I switched to cirus and now I got the dread in the foundry
