As a person who never used photoshop before, doing a custom kit isnt really hard. Just download templates look at a few tutorials and you are ready to go
So. Since I already know how to make a Club. I am still confused as when I finish and Export it. It is either brandmarked into the default Database (Even unticking it at the advanced setup doesnt remove it) or it is not there. The Issue I am having is the Advanced Rules. Since I do not want to change Rules or Add Rules I can't access it. In FM20 it was way easier to aproach..

Hey Matt, yes this is definitely possible. You’d just have to make a slight amendment in the config file. You would need to change the club ID that it references to yours! I hope that makes sense

So I've made a custom logo. I cropped it down to fit the rest of them (200x200). I added the custom logo into the folder with the rest of the logos, with the same name as the unique club ID. When I go to edit the config file, it isn't there. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Great video btw :) helped me out alot
Yes for sure. So you need to add a line into the config. Open the file in notepad and add a line in following the same pattern, just in the instance of the number, use your clubs ID number

Yes of course. If you go into your club and when you go to add in your stadium, select the field titled “name” and there you should be able to search for the stadium

It all depends on a club by club basis. For example, in the National League, you will have a mix of pro and semi pro clubs. All depends on finances and reputation

I used the editor to create my own club, created kits and logo's using Photoshop but if I add everything to fm21 it somehow does not work. I can see all the kits and logo's from every other club. My own do not show up. Can you tell me how to fix this?
@@HoodGamingUK Yes did that. I used the exact same setup as you did in the video above. I can't find out what I did wrong. As I said earlier I did the same thing in FM20 and it worked.
That would be my first suggestion, alternatively did you set the club founded date to 2021? Because remember the season starts in 2020 so might not be classed as an active club yet

Thanks, this was a massive help for me to put my own custom club into the National League South. I am now trying to do the same with MLS but can't get it to work. Even though I swap teams, the old team still appears, my team is unselectable but appears in the supporters' shield. anyone got an ideas?

Everything for me works normally, I put the logo in the folders, change the word document for the team id, made sure that was all correct, but then my logo actually doesn't show up in game.

@@jonperans You need that config file my man. You need manually add it to the config file. So copy one of the lines of code. The name of the logo goes into the start of the line and the team id is at the end. 100% make sure that that is correct and it should hopefully work
Im having difficulty with the competition because it says there is an error as "there is only 3 teams" in the vanarama south even tho in editor it has a full list of them. Any advice wud be greatly appreciated
You need to go on ‘Finder’ on the top bar, then highlight the ‘Go’ tab. Hold down the option button on the key board and ‘Library’ should drop down on menu. Click on that and then it’s ‘Application Support’, then on ‘Sports Interactive’, then ‘Football Manager 21’ and then drop the database in the ‘Editor Data’ folder and it should work.

When loading into FM you can select an option to automatically populate with new-gens. Is that what you’re after? Or do you want real players?

For some reason my database wont verify. Brings up errors when rule testing. North/South promoted and relegated teams dont match up?? So confused

Have you changed the setting in game within preferences? Untick the box to decrease load time?

@@HoodGamingUK yes when on the 'pick a side to manage' screen they are greyed out and unable to select them everyone else in the league is as normal

You do that as part of setting the club up in the pre-game editor

Within the pre-game editor. There is an owner section where you can change things
It's under staff/players go to the board and Add the owner - you may have to create the person if they are not within the game.
