I have cad experience for 20 years but stopped in 2009 due to economy crash. Now I’m back in the saddle and all I can say is “wow”! So many new commands and short cuts to learn and in my case to recall from past experiences.

Great tutorial! I am having an issue with the scale on my viewport. I have it set to 1/4"= 1'-0" but when I print and measure a 9' wall it measures wall 8'-5". HELP!

I have some layout tabs and in all of them I have a referenced drawing, I can see it in all the tabs but when I do a preview or publish a PDF file the referenced drawing is not shown in all of the sheets. When I go to a sheet (tab) that doesn't print the referenced file I can see it but I can not select it. I already detached and attached the referenced file again and was still unsuccessful. Do you have an idea what may be wrong with this issue? 😭

I'm having trouble with "scale to fit". I use it to get maximum use out of a viewport but now when i select the objects i want to fit the viewport it zooms way out instead of zooming in to fit the viewport. Use to work fine but since 2023 i've had this problem. Any ideas?

Hi there, I have a question. I am trying to print a floorplan in paper space CAD but when I print the PDF has a long diagonal line that is across the whole pdf but this line does not exist in the drawing ( model/paper space) at all . do you know how can I solve this problem?
Hmm, I guess that can be caused by quite a few different things. One I typically avoid plotting in the background if that option is checked on, it can take quite a bit longer in general. Trying a different plotter, ie a different PDF option if your PDFing, like say dwg to pdf in the plot setting can help. It's also worth checking some of your print settings, making sure that the resolution isn't too high and quality isn't maxed out, especially if you have a detailed drawing or one with raster imagery or background images, all of which can lead to longer printing times.
