Thanks for the review. A few notes after watching: I've always avoid the marker lights because of the colors bleeding through objects. Never liked how it looked, so I played it safe and just avoided them. This time I decided to experiment around with different assets and settings and found a combination I was tolerably ok with. As mentioned on the site, it's primitive and will evolve over time like my exhaust smoke has. And also, if you see the exhaust smoke randomly stutter and move around real quick, that is because you have the "Use PhysX Simulation" setting turned on in the games settings on the small launch window. That feature makes it so the smoke bounces off the bottoms of bridges or inside tunnels, but it also bounces off of objects that have incorrectly large selection boxes like trees and powerlines. Go near one and you'll see the smoke spaz out. That's just the games feature being a bit bugged. The bell stopping in place randomly happens based on what else is being using in the session. Conflict of scripts. Same with the blowdown. The engine does actually have a blowdown effect. It's even featured in the promo video. Conflict of scripts in your session most likely are stopping both from working. Start a new route real quick and drop some track and place the engine, and you'll probably find the bell and blowdown work as normal. The exhaust sounds are the same sounds used on my N&W A Class from 2016 and PRR FG1 from 2019. Not very easy to find articulated exhaust sounds that are usable, especially at speed. So I used what I already had made up. Jump in the cab interior and use the [ and ] keys to toggle the various outside views. Easiest way to see all the articulation up close. And since the engine was pretty much intended to be a freight engine, there was no consideration really given to any other paint schemes. In the future if I add any passenger cars, I may consider another cleaner scheme to go along with them. But for now the goal was to have something that could replace 1 or 2 of the smaller 4 axle diesels with freight operations. If I had another month I probably could have added more. 🤷‍♂ - Steve ✌
