Hi Mike, Great video. I just got home from training at the ranch. I LOVE my new Low Boy 3. You and Brandon did an outstanding job with the training. I can’t thank you enough!!!
I, too, love my LowBoy 3 Aero 1000 combo! It's a sweet machine! A little correction is in order regarding transporting a LB3 in a pickup. Unless your pickup has a flat bed instead of the normal box, you cannot roll a stock LB3 into a full size pickup bed. You can, however, carry a LB3 in a short box. The outside wheel to outside wheel width is about 63" and that is 1 - 2" too wide. I have transported my LB3 about 7000 miles now in my pickup and I chose to make a set of short transport only axels to get it to fit. Additionally, having a custom platform in the bed is necessary to keep the wheels from rolling forward off the wheel wells and ramming the prop hub into the real window. After this experience, I'm starting to lust after a new utility trailer. BTW, if anyone wants to see some more videos of the LowBoy 3 & Aero 1000 in action, I have a few videos on my channel (Nicksdesign51).
Great video guys. Can't wait to see the competition video! I have both lowboy2 and 3 and really enjoy flying both. Where is the best reserve placement on the LB3? I liked the bracket made for the LB2.
All I have seen have been mounted on the triangle directly to the side of the seat (3:21 in the above video). No mounting plate needed. if you look in the LB3/Aero 1000 owners group on FB, there is a post about this.
