The Seed kinda feels and sounds like it would be from a new Letters from the colony track. Amazing instrumental work (that BASS and them drums *dayum*) and great vocal lines. Need more of them asap.
This is one talented band! One of the biggest highlights to me was the atmosphere they create in their tracks. Nearing the end of Severance is an excellent example of that! There was certainly nothing boring about the instrumentals; very creative and engaging. Vocals were also very good and contributes massively to the massive atmosphere they bring to their tracks. I'm usually a massive fan of clean choruses but the chorus on paralyzed for me is how to do an unclean chorus, so good! This will almost definitely feature in my top 10 EPs of the year (very likely top 5). Great hearing your thoughts on this and glad you liked it as much if not more than I did. It's only through your reactions that I checked this band out in the first place!
Couldn’t have said it better. Everything about this reaction is 10/10. Allt have set a very high bar and this entire EP is phenomenal from start to finish. Definitely made my EP of the year list as well. Love hearing your thoughts on it and happy it got the full reaction it deserved
6:38 was the cherry on top of this cake called The Seed lmao that had such a lovely entrance No song sounded very similar flow-/scheme-wise, making this EP very fun to listen to. This EP is as great as it gets in the modern metalcore scene.
I wish it was longer with all my being 🙃it is so good tho holy moly, glad they keep are keeping close intervals with releasing music! Hopefully we will get a full length soon 🤞🏻
Next project, I hope they incorporate more of Adam’s talent on drums he specializes in thy art is murder type blast beats. If they had some fast sections like that but kept this vibe in a full length album, it will be perfect
@@amconthetrack5008 personally, this was more distinct. There are so many bands that could do extreme and fast and honestly, it comes across as a dick measuring contest than a worthwhile addition to the music. The Seed in particular showcases some really fun and truly funky drumming and timing changes and it's instantly likeable and memorable. Not to say it couldn't work, I just don't think it's particularly memorable. A lot of Thy Art starts to blend together, particularly their older stuff that featured less melody and more straight heavy.
@@nolankuffner3573 exactly I agree. But I think they could throw in a couple more fast sections in the space of an entire album for him to flex some different blast rudiments. I already know they gon have all da breakdowns 💥
I`ve laugh so hard when I saw your reaction (in a good way of course!) when you`ve heard those echoing voices at the end of Severance. Damn this one actually gives you a huge goosebumps as it finishes And yeah, totally agree, Non-released previously singles were as good if not better than released ones
