We have been doing that for decades, and by now countless more people are starting to realise this. I only hope that by the time the inevitable back-lash happens these fuck-stains only get deported en-mass and not exterminated wholesale. Let's be fair though, that choice will be theirs to make. As for our dear political leaderships however, I don't see to much mercy for them, after all they enabled this cancer in the first place.

This is the negative nancy. The NN is a whiny little twat who will have you believe resistance and indeed, action to change things is futile and your enemy has already won. The NN is your enemy too, because in her inane whining she forgets every facet of reality that proves her BS to be wrong.
Never heed the siren wail of the Negative Nancy, she's a false signal and barely any better than the enemy himself, demanding you submit.

"Islam is not a race, but singling out a community is racism - whether the right wing says so or not" - Basit Mahmood, unknowingly admitting he's racist by his own standards for singling out the right-wing community. It's also such a low bar to clear that literally everyone on the planet who isn't mentally deficient would be racist by that definition.

I'm a former muslim living in Turkey, a country that is still partially secular, but with a big majority muslim population. My mother is a niqab wearer, and she wasn't forced to wear it, she chose it, even in everyone elses, especially my father's, protest. She says it's compulsory for her to wear because it's the way of islam. I told her that as long as she keeps her islamic ways to herself, I'm fine with it. This is called freedom, she is free to be an islamic woman if she wants. Then she brought a praying mat to my house, without my consent and I returned it to her, I told her I don't believe in prayer in bending-over-standind-up fashion. She said she won't ever come to my house if I don't get a praying mat. I told her she is making that restriction on herself, and she's free to do so, but she won't impose me her rules.

    • @CallanElliott
      @CallanElliott 5 років тому +5

@@Kydino No, that's just you getting a stick in your ass. There weren't (and still aren't) enough Muslims, or hell even Jews, to realistically overthrow the US government and institute a religious theocratic state within the timeframe presented in the book. The main point was that people were saying that 'it couldn't happen over here'. So, to prove them wrong, the writer decided to base it on ecxtremist Christians (which given that this was the eighties) was much more likely. So yes, it was written in response to the Islamic Revolution, just using Christianity as a not unlikely stand-in given the time period.
However there is a detail frequently overlooked by the feminists, the Christians did it with the help of anti-sex worker radical feminists. The latter were betrayed by the former and thus we get Gilead.

I'm from a Muslim background, and I am an anti-religious activist. Take my advise, because when you say stuff that are not true people might stop hearing you.
No father lets or makes his daughter wear the Hijab to show that the girl is ready for marriage, it is only for them to get used to it. and the age for that is when she starts to have the period, on some cases they wear it before that. prayer in Islam for example is to be thought at 7, and (according to Hadith they should be beaten if they do not pray at 10, but I didn't meet such case yet).
However in Islam itself (whether Muslims do it or not) marriage is not related to age at all, you can marry at whatever age, but the sexual intercourse is on halt until they can stand it physically.
So what you said is not accurate, while the truth is even worse.
Great work on this illuminating video.

They rather fight fantasy-misogyny for fantasy-misogyny does not fight back. It is not a real threat to them.
The real life misogyny of Muslims however, is a real threat.
It is similar to people jumping to help people crying wolf, knowing they're crying wolf, because false help is as easy to give in the light of no real problem existing - but they run when someone does not have crocodile tears, but real ones. No help where needed for real.

Not kidding, my old high school used to (probably still does) partake in World Hijab Day. They'd recommend the girls in the school to wear hijabs (mind you, they didn't have to, it was just promoted) to "stand in solidarity with people who practice Islam". Legally and constitutionally, my school I don't think is allowed to do this as, according to the constitution, a government funded school isn't allowed to cater to a specific gender, race nor religion. So basically my school might have been breaking the law for the sake of "virtuosity" towards a violent religion.

Hijab is a symbol of female submission. Afghani women who are forced to wear the burqa will tell you that the dress hides who they really are. It still doesn't protect them from sexual assault, by the way. It is not the same as traditional headdresses or clothing, which is worn as a symbol of national pride and is used as sexual cues - *for older women.*
World Hijab Day is encouraging women to tie a noose around their necks. They are ignorant as to what happens to young girls who are married to older men. If we look to our own past, many girls married to old men died in childbirth or committed suicide. They are not even old enough to bring a child to term and survive the process. They don't even *have* a sex drive.
I suppose there is one benefit, if any, to this. The rise of the 'hoejabi'.

Most Canadians don't understand what is IN the Quran, nor that 65% of the Quran is dedicated to conquest of Kafir. The Quran contains at least 109 verses that speak of war with nonbelievers, usually on the basis of their status as non-Muslims. However, if the Hadith and Sunnah are included the number of violent verses increases dramatically. And, the combined Quran, Hadith & Sunna constitute Shariah, The Law of Islam. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter. Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, most verses of violence in the Quran are open-ended, meaning that they are not necessarily restrained by historical context contained in the surrounding text (although many Muslims choose to think of them that way). They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subject to interpretation as anything else in the Quran. The context of violent passages is more ambiguous than might be expected of a perfect book from a loving God. Most contemporary Muslims exercise a personal choice to interpret their holy book's call to arms according to their own moral preconceptions about justifiable violence. Islam's apologists cater to these preferences with tenuous arguments that gloss over historical fact and generally don't stand up to scrutiny. Still, it is important to note that the problem is not bad people, but bad ideology. Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to balance out those calling for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed. Muhammad's own martial legacy, along with the remarkable emphasis on violence found in the Quran, have produced a trail of blood and tears across world history. Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement" This Sura Verse applies to the entire west's population because the west once held Dhimmi status to Islam and paid Jizya Tax, then fought the Barbary Pirate's War and ended paying Jizya Tax. Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..." This is the excuse for mass murder and genocide such as ISIS does.

Love the clip at the end, very interesting how such voices are more or less quiet now. Fearful of being called names, being attacked or silenced, in the countries that boasted how democratic they are. Well, the few that are brave enough to speak against the hijab should be made louder, and those who are afraid supported fully!

I wish Europe would accept more of those atheist Arab women who fled from Muslim countries, and block or expel all Muslim migrants who are not willing to assimilate to Europe. In fact, I wish there should be some international help those Arab atheists to escape to Europe or other secular countries. It is so said that a real victim like the Arab woman who spoke in German have to deal with Muslims, the very thing she had fled from, in Europe.

Well there are enough other religious people who need help, too. Jews and christians, buddhists and such get hunted down by those people. Not that christian churches would care. Actually fixing those countries or at least trying would help. But I don'tthink "helping" is the true intend.

Actually attempting to stop a video like that UCLA campus on like that AND actively identifying yourself as a University representative on a public university is a violation of first amendment rights. See: Melissa Click. UCLA IS a public university. Someone needs to get a hold of the person who took this video. Granted this was not a faculty member, so it is not as extreme, but it was someone attempting to use authority on behalf of the university.

So I was just listening to some music I remembered I knew from the 60’s and looking at some photos of the time and a thought occurred to me.
In Britain, we are not the most religious of people. Though of course this has not always been the case, it came about, as I’m sure you’re aware, in the 20th Century.
Since then, the British people have not exactly become particularly materialistic. We (by which I mean the middle class) have instead tried many other things; LSD; Buddhism; Witchcraft, and Harry Enfield has been having a field day for the last three decades parodying the various fads of the British upper-middle class in its never ending quest to find some kind of deeper meaning to life than anything so drearily conventional and working class as having a family and raising your children to be normal.
They didn’t find this meaning in psychedelics and eastern wisdom, they haven’t found it on yoga mats, it isn’t hidden in any hipster’s beard, compost heap, or combination of power stones, tinctures, and food intolerances. Worse still, everyone has laughed at them for trying all of these things and somehow unfailingly managing to make complete and utter fools of themselves in the process. So now they’ve found Blue Hair Dye, Cake, and Islam, and damn and blast it, but Harry Enfield and his chums are not going to have the whole country laughing at them this time!
So that’s my new theory. Feminism, promoting Islam, 12 trillion genders, it’s all just a way for the middle class to feel like they actually matter, without having to go to the effort of actually doing anything that matters. Because damnit perpetually tweeting the latest buzzwords angrily at conservatives should exempt a demi-quasi-sus-trans-cis-diminished-ultraunicorn from actually doing anything that makes the world a better place.
Obligatory point relating this to fascism somehow because it’s 2019 and unless you call someone Hitler you’re clearly only trolling.

I am muslim, dont care about hijabs being worn or not. I care about ALL PEOPLE trying to be good together across all humanities! Having said that... i learned to NOT force upon the hijab, niqab or any sort of garb! The women who talk in this video are the prime example for that... islamis still not up to snuff with mainstream christianity! My father is acutely aware of that, being educated in a christian school in a majority muslim nation, indonesia! And its something that i tend to challenge... prayer is not really an issue at all, my sister will never wear a hijab or anything else and relatives of my father will never question that. Male and female! Having said that! The hijab means something else for everyone, for some its womenhood, for male and female a like! For some its transformational, going through a big change in live! Religion is just a good coping mechanism for a stable society! I find the way you argued about this whole thing very telling and a proper represantation from someone who makes nothing and something of his believe. I cant talk for the women! Thank you for showing strong individuall women. Adding to that i think acting out ones believe or not does not matter in that case its more important to be informed! Yet still people seem missguided when trying to win an argument! You will always fail doing that! That was never the point! Point being islam strongly respects the individual! And most islamicly influenced nations have grown new intelectuals... its like that one bid of joe rogan... do you know how this works??? Electricity computers manufacturing??? Everybody gets their turn at this... its what makes the world go round!

I have heard too many stories of what happens in the middle east when women aren't modest enough to think this is a good idea. Some even directly from families that have experienced, and escaped it. The hijab is a symbol of that. A lot of women don't have a choice, it's more of an ultimatum. Wear it/obey our traditions (like arranged marriages), or be ostracized.
Imagine wearing the Jewish star from WWII with pride... It's frighteningly close to that.
