Being an electrical engineer, who loves audio and music production, my respect for you increased sevenfold when you gave the credits to Nikola Tesla. Truly he was way ahead of his time. Our world would never be the same without him
@@joeymusic it was great! It had never actually occured to me that triangle and square waves had the same harmonics just at different amplitudes, that was an "aha moment" for sure!
Your cheeky little face at the sub transition! 🤣 This was interesting and useful. I use synth a lot and have no idea how they work or how to make my own sounds or how to fit them into dense mixes etc So more synth stuff please!
I'm a producer so was watching only for the engineering, but of course synth videos would be so useful! They're my favorite things, I KNEW that Tesla wasn'g human.
I`m not good in synth department but I`ve made a huge leap in understanding sound crafting with Vital recently, clean and easy to understand interface unlike others, yet lots of possibilities and it`s free, awesome combination. I`ve already seen comments about Vital but I think I should add how cool it is as well!
"The first oscillator that we're going to discuss is one that we're all extremely familiar with in audio - the sine wave." 1:38 So the waveform itself IS an oscillator? Great info here but I'm still a bit foggy on what exactly an oscillator IS, what exactly it is that's *_oscillating_*
Good to see an educated brother at work this is iver my head but i need to familiarize myself to better myself and progress as an automotive technician (not a mechanic) those guys are dummys
best synth plugin for me is Martinic ax73, you can layer 3 layers of wave forms and make a split keyboard for perfromance out of any of the presets you make.. .it is basically a replica of the Akai AX73 from the 80s but it is really beefed up... Don't take my word for it... Jordan Rudess is using it on their youtube and Doctor mix the synthesizer man has done a few vids on it, he owns the original.

this is wonderful. of course having more content related to synths would be great.
Glad you were into it, Robert! My studios next to one of the nicest synth shops in La so I’ll def do some more synth stuff soon

@@joeymusic More on how synth and sound design are used in modern day production please
I've always found synth stuff super fascinating and overwhelming to get your head around all of it. Thanks Miami!
Hope I broke it down enough to make it easy to understand!

Really recommend Vital, has fantastic visuals to show you exactly how you're changing the sound, and it's so easy to drag and drop. It's great.

@@BrofUJu been using it for months, tons of fun! It's so powerful, still finding out new stuff about it everytime I open it!
@@theinfant Awesome! It literally taught me how to use my other synths where I would just pull up presets and give up lol
Absolutely love this video. Please do more on this topic (synths/extra production goodies) in the future!

Looool was waiting for it, and that did not disappoint
Great starting point. Would like to learn more about use cases for each, with examples in the mix.
Just wait, there’s a follow up for this that will be pretty special. Wont be out for a little bit tho

Best intro to the subject!! Despite having to be subject to your tansition game!
I would love if you can bring more contents like this. About sound engineering and technology. Very usefull. Thank you so much!
Great topic!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Dude great content
.I just subscribed...
i am trying to figure out what the synth on blink 182’s i’m lost without you
i think it may be a triangle wave synth with some kind of modulation
Came for the dope info, stayed for the Tesla simping. Mans was a legend
