Deltona is a city in the U.S. state of Florida and the most populous city in Volusia County. It is located on the northern shore of Lake Monroe along the St. Johns River in central Florida. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 93,692. The city is part of the Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach, Florida metropolitan statistical area, which is grouped with the larger Orlando-Lakeland-Deltona, Florida combined statistical area.
The city, previously known as Deltona Lakes, was originally established as a planned residential community, and was master-planned and developed by the General Development Corporation and the Mackle Brothers. Since its opening in 1962, the community rapidly grew from a small subdivision to becoming one of largest cities in Central Florida by the end of the 20th century, largely in part by the Mackle Brothers' worldwide marketing efforts showcasing small low maintenance homes offered at affordable prices. The city is mostly residential, and primarily serves as a commuter town for the nearby cities of Orlando and Daytona Beach, as well as its surrounding communities.

The best thing I did was leave this city its nothing to do boring, I live in Hallandale Beach which is next Miami and Hollywood Beach the night life is amazing and its always some were to go and enjoy yourself.
Deltona is not a place for night life. It is a simple town here. Quiet, very peaceful, very simple, with truly kind and respectful people. We only go to the orlando areas for work or an evening of fun, leaving all the chaos and craziness there with it, and we return to our peaceful town. No news headlines, no clubs, no craziness. I've enjoyed living here for 22 years, I take walks along the busiest streets, gone to all the parks, visited all the stores and always felt welcome. It is truly a place to call home.
I haven’t been back to Deltona in 10 years. I like these videos can see how much has changed. Deltona use to be a great place to live. From what I hear and have seen in the news it has gone down hill fast

Deltona has no downtown. Looking at a map of the streets it looks like a group of 5year olds hopped up on pixie stix designed it.

from what i've read they're trying to make the area around where the amazon warehouse is the "downtown". but otherwise, yeah there's no actual downtown
@@SeraphGamingYTwe'll see. That area was cleared out for a good 5 yrs before Amazon built their warehouse. I kind of hope they keep it all that way

34:40 got in my first car crash right past that traffic light (between the speed limit and property for sale signs) after it (iirc) didn't turn red for a fire truck...my dad (the driver) was fixated on that and by the time he noticed the car in front of us was stopped, it was too late for him to stop without hitting it. we're both fine but we lost the car. hey, at least i didn't have to work that day!
