I installed it on my car too! but my question is not closed, can anyone tell me what about cooling? It's still aluminum, and metal retains heat longer than plastic!
Why do you remove the DME? I've seen someone remove their coolant tank on their F90 without removing anything other than the engine cover and the DME cover. Seems like an unneccessary step, or am I missing something here?
Props to you man!! Thank you so much!! Prepping to install mine now! I have been through 3 stock tanks and 4 injectors! Thank you so much for making this tutorial! Nice work!
Negative ghost rider. Aluminum has a thermal conductivity of 205 W/(m⋅K). Plastic, on the other hand, has a thermal conductivity around 0.02 to 0.05 W/(m⋅K)
Definitely doing it once my warranty expires. Nicely done.
Thanks. Just check your tank periodically
Better then the catch can
Yeah just more expensive
isnt the bmw coolant supposed to be BLUE??? i just got a gallon of the stuff and mine is blue? wonder why his is green?
I have seen both blue and green… not sure when they changed it
Where do the red billet caps come from?

My buddy that I installed this on has not had any issues with it so far
Amazing diy. Definitely a piece we need to pick up.
Thanks bro
Thank you for the video! Just ordered one for Black Friday.
Awesome! Nice engine bay, now they need to make one for the F8x S55🙏🏾
I agree!!
Beautiful piece! Love the billet aluminum style 🔥
Me too!
There is actually procedure you run through in diag mode. That runs the bleed procedure.

You can do it if you have smaller hands but it just gives you more room. I have huge hands so the more room the better.

No problem… yeah this or the catch pan is the way to go
Sorry if you covered my question already. What year f90's are we talking about?
All of them… 2018-2023
Excellent vid. Ordered one myself in the UK. Surprised you had to remove the DME.
Thanks. It is tight in there 😂
Don't need to remove DME. I done mine yesterday
Doesn't this product more heat. Just changed out the OE every 50k
This is to prevent the leaking on your injectors and plugs which could damage your engine
Would you do this to your own F90 instead of the catch can? If so why?
Only if I was out of warranty and planned to keep the car long term. The catch pan is perfect for warranty cars
that metal is gonna be a heat sink. Definitely would add heat reflection tape to as much of that tank as you can if you're gonna install this.
That definitely is an option
Aluminum heat transfer is very similar to the plastic tank. Should be no issues.

Wooo now this is what im talking about
