I’ve owned and loved 3 Suburbans over the years. When the current one with 225K+ miles gives up, I’ll be signing up for another one. The ride, the quietness, and the flexibility it offers has always delivered.
I really really love the brand new 2025 Chevrolet Suburban and to me I feel like this is the disciple of SUVs I don't care what people say about it but I love it because this is a peach of an suv.
5.3L(1997) and 6.2L(2008) V8 are Old School.. I do believe GM can build a smaller displacement, more powerful V8 engine to match all that "new Tech" The I-6 Turbo Duramax is pointing the way already. How about it GM..??
Really nice SUV. I've said it before, but GM is killing it with the 24/25 model year designs inside and out. Also, anytime I see a hidden rear wiper on the road I think of the Raiti Effect pushing that forward
I have rented Suburbans for a couple of long summer trips and was very impressed. Great vision, adequate power from the 5.3, and nice ride. Gas mileage not too bad either. Will be looking at the Tahoe or Yukon when they hit the market for 2025
Beautiful paint and Suburbans just flat rock for taking a big family on long trips, get a couple sofa pillows for the third row arm rests and you are set. Thanks Joe and Lori !
Love the infotainment system on this vs. the new 25 Expedition. I think it's better to have the screen closer to the driver and the lines on this dash feel better than the weird curves in the expedition. It looks more premium.
The Chevrolet Suburban offers powerful V8 engines and seats up to nine, while the Ford Expedition features a fuel-efficient EcoBoost V6 and seats up to eight. Both have modern tech and spacious interiors.
I absolutely love this as a suburban driver. I have a 9th generation and a 10th going for the 11th soon while I wait for the 12th gen to drop in price ! New expedition looks Amazing but I can’t see myself turning away from GM after ford expedition limited stalled mid intersection and almost killed my pregnant and wife as on coming traffic traveled at a high rate of speed towards us because the ford stalled and then at the last second flew forward… quickly sold it after that and never bought ford or Lincoln again
My in laws have an Expedition and they’ve had that same problem. I have a 15 Yukon Xl that I’m going to be replacing soon and honestly I like the Expedition redesign even more than these but I can’t trust Ford under any circumstances
What an awesome ride ! I have always loved the suburban, my brother has owned a few and have been nothing short of awesome. Great review Joe and some phenomenal camera work Lori 👏 👌 Wonderful work as usual by you both!!
Took an Uber ride once from the airport in a Suburban and man what a nice car. Wish the ride would’ve been longer which says a lot! Super comfortable. Roomy. Impressive quality. Just overall sweet ride. They’re very popular on the road for a reason.
The color looks like one of those crayons that stays fresh because you never use it. Like the color of doctor scrubs. I think overall it's a handsome SUV with great engine options. Thanks Joe and the rest of the Raiti's Rides crew.
White interior is crazy, I hope that’s optional and not your only choice, tires are nice but should be bigger on a premier trim, glad it has fog lamps. New expedition should be taking notes
I LOVE IT. A legend with a great ride. It looks really nice and serious. Out of all I've seen so far, it's either the Escalade or the Suburban, or both. I love what they did with the instrument cluster, the dashboard and the entire interior in general. I'd seriously consider it as shown.
The suburban is the longest running continuous model of any car. We had a surburban, it was according to a dealer acquaintance the car with the lowest passenger death per mile due to its massive size. Love the 60 series sidewall. This vehicle is designed to endure potholes. I think the Ford split tailgate is a better design. Hard to understand why they haven't put a hybrid in this vehicle; it would help so much with city MPG. GM is being awfully lazy.
One of the funniest things I ever heard a parent say to a kid: KID: "Mom, I'm hungry!" MOM: "You ate yesterday..." ME (to myself): "That sounds reasonable... Oh, wait." I looked at Mom and busted out laughing.
Well... yes, without question the Suburban is better than the current Ford Expedition. This generation of Expedition is pretty lackluster. The new design released a few days ago looks promising, but I'd still take the GM.
For the conventional status quo GMC lover this design is amazing. And yes I praised GMC for the last 3 years as finally stepping up their design game and worth.....buuuuttttttt...We're looking at the same GMC design language. Which is the best out!!! ....but also still reserved when it comes to Ford.
The new Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition is a interior design language I never seen. And Full out new daring approach to Car and Suv design. Ford takes risk. And the interior of the Expedition is likeeee wth is that a Expedition??? The Chevy is like ohhh makes sense it looks gorgeous its a GMC brand. 2 different feel and looks to me.
I had seen in your review of the suburban vs grand wagoneer the mention of the family camera that allows you to look in the vehicle from other locations. Is this still an option in the 2025 suburban?
Us snackers like to get real world dimensions on these oddly shaped storage areas. During this very video I was thinking, " I wonder how many Ho-Ho's would fit on the hidden pull out tray in the motorized console."
@@cbotten106 That poor vehicle the amount of forgotten snacks. My son left a half gal of chocolate milk in my truck once. The smell is like no other. But I see the storage more as the place to stick electronics that's just me. Carry on sir Twinky
I prefer my corner vents to be clean and functional. I believe that the majority of automotive enthusiasts feel that way. It's like an Escalade without ALL the bling, I get it! This thing craps all over the Expedition but you already knew that or you wouldn't have asked. Real trucks don't need no stinking EcoBoost!
Nice suv. To bad no ventilated second row and no ambient lights plus probably bad fuel economy. Nice looking suv but those are a must have and it’s a deal breaker. Maybe 2027, let’s hope and wait
This Suburban is very similar to the current style. But that is a new dash. I liked the knobs for the climate and presume the radio still runs from the wheel. BTW, there is no match for the Suburban outside of GM and Cadillac.
To be fair, the GM suvs have had these lines much longer than Ford. If one was inspired by the other the big GM suvs were the template, not the other way around.
Thanks for another informative video. This is muy caliente suv. I don't like the white color inside the interior. I wish they would offer a turbo 6.2 v-8 gas engine. Yeah baby more horsepower!😝😆🤪
This is the only other car apart from the Infiniti QX 80 and Nissan Pathfinder that I recommend. I do not recommend the Ford expedition because it’s hideous and I do not recommend the jeep grand wafoneer because it’s unreliable. 😊

Moms in the Midwest suburbs are about to crazy for these, gotta show up Carol with her aging 2022 Cadillac Escalade at the local softball tournament.
