- We test the fuel economy / mileage of the Hyundai Venue 1.0 GDI DCT model via a 270km run done at 80 km/h on the open expressway around Delhi. This a 2019 model that sold unchanged as the 2020 model.
The Hyundai Venue GDI (turbo petrol) DCT (dual clutch automatic) comes with a certified economy of 18 kmpl.

I don't know why your bought a turbo petrol car and drive below the turbo opening rpm , for 70 kmph speed your rpm is nearly 1.6 -1.8 where the engine won't open turbo

Nice video, good to see that you reached to 22 after driving 250+ km.. I have also bs6 venue dct, bought in August this year, however I can see the mileage only between 11-13km per lit.. it is very less as compare to your result.. any suggestion to check and increase the mileage.

I m owner of Venue DCT have done 7000 km till now 50% city driveing and 50% highway never got more than 14 kmpl........

Yes,quiet similar here..I have tried every thing..(light foot, manual override, AC off single driver everything) never got more than 14', in city drive 11-12

I have venue turbo manual...I have done around 5000 kms, I get around 12-13 kms in city, around 14 in highways.
Ashish G R it’s completely depends how you are driving. In city it comes I agree, but in highway it will give minimum 17. Depends how much clutch you are using as well

It depends on driving style. I have a venue 1.4 diesel car. I am 65 yrs aged man. When I drive I get average 25 km mileage. But my son- in law gets only 18.5 km/ L . But he takes 35% less time to reach the spot. But I used to get very good tyre and break pad life also.

yes in Chennai hyundai venue cars do have huge number of booking cancellation because of heavy clutch, rear row less space for 3, low power, high maintenance, low mileage... Finally got to know Hyundai crediting some money for youtuber to make an fake review for betraying INDIAN people ....

Appreciate your efforts. But getting a TURBO petrol engine and driving it at 80 kmph doesn't makes sense to me. Drive like it means and get the mileage figures which would be practical. Should help people. Thank you!
👍👍 could you suggest Nexon Xza+ Petrol or Venue S DCT turbo. I like Nexon but not sure of AMT. Should I wait for Nexon DCT, what would be the price difference. Venue S DCT miss many features and SX+ Dct goes to 13 lakhs on road. Budget 11.5 on road delhi. Thanks
Go for dct if u need actual automatic transmission
Nexon amt is not fully automatic and very laggy.... Go for venue dct 👍 nexon dct will not come ... Bro if u can manage with manual ac so better go with dct cost around 10 lakh on road

Does Manual AC in Venue S(O) DCT will give less mileage compared to Auto AC in Venue SX(O) DCT ? Cannot stretch budget to SX(O) DCT, so thinking of S(O) DCT so have this doubt of Manual AC w.r.t mileage. 90% city driving. I have shortlisted i20 ivt also but family of 4 adults + 2 kids so looking for little bigger boot. Full 5 person load will be an issue in i20 ? I am not performance driver. Appreciate anyone's guidance here 🙏

KMP Expressway was not a right and practical road to check milegue,better it could tested on normal road or state highway,where normal traffic conditions found.

All future runs will be held on the same route with same conditions. And we are mentioning the same in the video too. No one drives like this we agree but again, aim is to see how much can a car deliver when driven with a light right foot

Nice video. Did you get any heating issues in bumper to bumper traffic situation? Please give us your honest opinion as I am planning to buy the same . I stay in Bangalore and we all know that we have a crazy traffic situation here. Sometimes to cover 3 km it takes over 40 min.

That is not impressive for 1 liter engine. This is not normal driving condition.

1.2 petrol kaafi value for money hai. Pick up decent hai, excellent nahi. Fuel economy bhi decent hai excellent nahi. Magar price fantastic hai. Smooth engine, reliable. Yeh model le sakte hain :-)

My seltos 1.5 petrol manual has given 22.3km/l @75 km/hr speed for the distance of 109 km

why don't you test the mileage on the fast driving mode as well as that's the reality.
may be 120-140 speed
1) Safety : non-stop driving at 120-140 on Indian roads
2) Illegal : capturing the same on a camera!
3) We can look at increasing the set speed to 100 in the future but that will bring down the economy numbers a lot :-D
@@91Wheels but, apart from taxi drivers, nobody would stick to so smooth driving. Atleast city driving with peak traffic, mileage test would really help us.

Vehicle stops and need to wait for some time to engine cool. nay one of you facing this heating issue? Please help me to take a decision.
True thats correct. But one needs to change driving habits. But for our impatient traffic, i am not sure if it suits. Me thinks avoid DCT (ford, volkswagen, skoda had issues and done away with it and plonked Torque convertor. As a trch DCT may be good, but may not be for our conditions. Also if you have observed, no reviewer will ever mention this aspect.

Great job. Hyundai engines are not fuel efficient in general. Even in higher segments like santafe the fuel economy is less compared to other brands. For 1 liter engine this is not great.
Lets see if we can get our hands on the other 1000cc turbo petrol cars this month ;)

@LitTheFacts I don't reset my mileage..overall avg is 13 now.. I mostly do long drive..In city I know it's giving around 9-10..Even if you drive 80-100 on highway with light foot, you still can't fetch too much mileage..

when you reset the fuel economy in accumulated display was showing KMPL wherein my car showing KMPH...how did you manage to change that setting.
That's old car. Latest cars get only only KMPH in Hyundai Venue.
