5 mins in you say it isn't a big issue that these Armani bottles often leak. But man, it is a big issue. A bottle which keeps your perfume intact is the bare minimum they should be doing for these prices.
I found that odd to say too. I mean, if it leaks every time you spray then that's wasting fragrance and that isn't sustainable.

I never understood the CK One hype.
@@pneuma8819 I did not like it on skin but I once sprayed some on a scarf and wow, the smell on that material was magical. It stayed for years afterward, too, until I lost the scarf in a move.

There is a reason why Acqua di Gio is the most sold fragrance ever. I prefer Profondo nowadays, but the original is a masterpiece. It was my signature scent for 20 years before I got into collecting. So many compliments and memories.....
Ash, you seriously gotta tighten this up. I should not be over 9 minutes into your video without any idea what the new release smells like.

I remember a perfumer talking about reformulations and that when companies make them it's almost always because they found out that one of the molecules they're using has been found to be harmful (the other times is because they found a way to make it cheaper to manufacture). At this point I'm convinced that's what's going on with Armani. Maybe Ash can check with his contact at Michael Malul and make a video teaching us about it
The fact that they are knowingly selling leaking bottles at over 100 dollars is absurd and a slap in the face to their customers.
I worked for a flagship Armani store in Las Vegas and currently Giorgio Armani co is making considerably more money from their Armani Exchange products than anything else especially high price Giorgio Armani brand named clothing. Fragrances bring in a large amount of their profits as well but with Armani Exchange products overtaking Giorgio products in their sales and being more reasonably priced products; it would make sense to see a shake up in the fragrance sector of Giorgio Armani co to make up for any slight loses they might have experienced from selling higher number of lower priced products.

Let’s face it, Acqua Di Gio has always been a $60 fragrance. Charging $100+ for this line doesn’t make sense.
Paying 500$ for CREED AVENTUS 2024 or grab ADG 2024 150$ what exactly you do????

@@Mi3940 I agree with you, but I also think the ADG line should not be in the $100+ price range. I see it on the same level as a Versace Pour Homme or Mont Blanc fragrance. But that’s just my opinion.

@@Lollipop-er6bw I have a bottle of Creed Aventus from like 2018 that I never wear. It’s nice, but severely overpriced. Should cost as much as Dior or Chanel if we’re being honest. Tom Ford is another one that is way overpriced. I’m almost routing for the dupe houses at this point. The prices went crazy since the “influencers” showed up.
@Yes-Yes1 Agreed. Honestly why would one pay 400-500 dollars for a fragrance when you can buy a clone for 30 dollars with much better performance? But then again, for some people it's about status...

The best ADG for me: Mixing in a travel-spray 95% Perry Ellis Red + 5% ADG Profumo.
More powerful and deep than ADG edt, and dirt cheap.

The OG was my sig scent for years when it was released. Will always have a bottle in my collection, even though I prefer Profumo (RIP) and Profondo nowadays. Great video Ash! 🤘

Never thought the day would come that I would actually have to buy a bottle of ADG for a keepsake.
Tweak it, put it in a new bottle and charge very close to RRP price for the new "version". Armani have hit on a great idea this year.
Hopefully they get back to actually releasing some new fragrances next year.

I'm all on board for these Armani remakes...in fact I actually I love them, but can we please include Mania! I feel like its the forgotten Armani scent and I only have 2 (partial) bottles left. It was my first frag. that I loved. The Mania for me is your OG ADG. I will legit send one to you if you don't have it to review. I just want a remake!
I think they changed the EDP too. The new one at Ulta has a black bottom that gradates up.
Didn't mention the original has now been reformulated at least 3 times. The 2024 is the 3rd I believe. Vintage was beastly

I know you shouldn’t have to but perhaps removing the cap assembly and putting on some teflon tape and resealing might help. What a drag.

The og acqua di gio is the reason iam into fragrances and I bought a new bottle two months ago and I hate what they have done to it it’s a lot less aromatic and more fresh citrusy I got the bottle in the 200 ml presentation for 138 usd
Recently got a 200ml bottle of ADG Blue edition (that super rare limited edition 2014 release)
I’ve been trying to sell it but nobody seems to think it’s real. 😂
The clone houses will be LOVING the ‘Armani Manoeuvre’ (Valentino are starting to play a different but similar game with their 2024 Rockstud ‘booster’ EDP)… so the Clone Houses have already cloned the old iterations and with the relentless Armani discontinuations are now pushed into being the ‘go to’ version to buy for those wanting the O.G. plus they’ll get to clone all the new 2024’s… double win for them.

Bruh the juice is not the same, there is nothing today of the same quality from 25 years ago, if it is, you will pay a premium price.

Been waiting for this vid for a while Ashton lol - I'll be honest, ADG 2024 reminds me more of vintage batches of ADG. ADG 2024's opening brings me back to 2007 which is crazy because My 2017 and 2019 batches of ADG do not do that (neither do 2020 & 2022 batches). Love the 2024 version, it projects very nicely as well, I really really dig it. Performance is slightly better.

I am in Spain rn and the sellers have no idea about the 2024 iterations. So if I buy a bottle I have no idea which one I buy… I cannot open the box to check and say…nope 2023 not this one I want.
I had this issue for profundo (wanted the 2023) and the parfum(wanted the 2024).

I feel like redoing a classic like ADG is kind of like a film studio remaking Casablanca. The original’s perfect, why would you want to mess with that? Now, hearing about the updated feel and added depth makes this seem intriguing, like Boggart’s role played by Henry Cavill. I will admit to being curious.

I'm psyched that Armani revamped alot of the Acqua di gio line this year. Most have been solid, i.e. Parfum and Eau de Parfum. This is next on my list.

don´t mess with the OG!!! i luckily have plenty it not going to get the 2024 and for that price plus its leaking waste of money...if they get better bottles and prices goes back to " normal" maybe one day i will get the newer versions

Chanel seems to be lagging behind in that too with Bleu de Chanel. I was surprised they didn't release a le parfum or elixir version right behind Sauvage.
@@DarlingNikki2BdC already has a Parfum concentration. They won’t do an Elixir cause they don’t stoop to the level of these other brands. They release timeless classics which stay party of their collections forever, not 10 different flankers which all get discontinued after a year
@@MrMelonMan96 i know they have the Parfum concentration and I also know Chanel has a legacy to honor and protect. My comment was simply a statement that it was surprising because of the success of all these flankers regardless of what fragcomm or YT reviewers have to say about them. Chanel obviously does do flankers (the Chance line and Chanel Allure Homme with its few flankers) but perhaps they do want to keep BdC in the classic three variant space of EDT, EDP, and Parfum. No fancy bottles with the same fragrance and no endless flanker inception--it's a refreshing idea honestly.
@@DarlingNikki2 that’s true or maybe they don’t see anything further they could do with the BdC line. I do agree they could make an “elixir” style flanker that’s even richer darker and even more evening appropriate. Or a brand new fragrance all together…
