In today's video we Discuss what I feel might be the BEST Rasp Eliminator you can install on your e46 m3. After Installing a B&B Exhaust on my E46m about 6 Months ago I quickly realized that the rasp from the it generated wasn't going away with out a fight and since a 99% of the bolt-on options on the market range from 300-500$. I had to try something that didn't leave my wallet in tears for something so simple . SO in today's video we do exactly that

Christian i tried to go the same route and called up PSI to see if they had any laying around to sell me after i watch your video and heard the reduced RASP. Unfortunately they did not have any so im hitting the Junkyards to see if i can get luck. Thanks again to both of you guys for sharing your videos. Great stuff!

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! Just did it to my E46 M3 with CPI headers and RE El Diablo... all I can say is WOW. I had CPIs Rasp eliminator on the car for a while and it didn’t do nearly as well at eliminating rasp and actually caused more drone and lost mid range power due to the crossover which lead me to returning the section 1 back to stock. But now I can actually hear my Evolve Carbon Airbox over the exhaust now due to this simple hack almost entirely eliminating the rasp. ZERO downside to this mod!!!

The vid is pretty good. I like you are not just a 'talking head' in the vid but do action shots like you would see in a commercial. Good editing too. Sound levels for both voice and background are clear and loud enough. Great comparison shots, going back and forth to hear the difference was a great idea, made it easier to hear those different notes. I've subscribed.

Excellent if you dont like the rasp, but in my ears the rasp is what makes the S54 sound unique and racy. Each to their own!

Before was better man. That’s what is unique about the S54. BMW actually spend a lot of time getting it to sound “metallic”. They even modeled the sound around the Ferrari F355. This is one setup that must stay stock 🙏🏽

Huge fan of rasp tbh, very mortorsport sounding. OEM Euro headers, stock sec 1/2, and scza v2 makes it sound like a fomula car at high RPM. Another thing that helps with reducing rasp is larger diameter piping. Will be going to a full SS 2.5in dual pipe exhaust throughout.
Good idea! It might be cheaper to get 2 Ar20 resonators for $40 each and weld them. That’s what I have on mine.
I think I'll go with the oem resonator route though.. ..don't know how to weld lol. This is a super easy mod though.

Thanks! Honestly they don't touch at all! You don't hear any vibration from them either
After the rasp Delete did the car get any quieter because video doesn’t really do much justice

Actually no audio missing was just narrating over me working instead of recording all the audio from my tools clinking on the exhaust lol it was fairly loud so I figured this was a better choice
Missing for me too. I think what happened is it’s just coming out of 1 speaker. The 1 headphone I’m not wearing...
Hey man thanks for the vid. Beautiful car. I tried this and the 2 pipes are actually not interchangeable. Putting the resonated pipe on the driver side ends up with the rear flanges at an angle instead of sitting flat against each other. Also the 2 pipes are actually different lengths. I feel like “getting it to work” will end up with exhaust leaks. How did you account for this?
Do you have any updates on this? Thinking of trying it but wanna make sure it works 100%.
@@cadenyang3058 the 2 pipes are not interchangeable. I ended up buying a used oem section, cut and welded the silencer into the non-silencer side and it’s perfect now. It really gets rid of the rasp well. But you need to be able to weld.
