That would be useful and interesting to know whether months names are referred (probably logicly) to other words, like Balandis is pigeon. Thanks for the lesson!

Do you by any chance planning to create Anki collection based on your lessons? That would be awesome.

Is there a rule to type months names with capital letter in Lithuanian?

There are some interesting similarities with Polish!
Our July is also from linden trees (lipiec), August is harves time (though we identified it with a sickle, hence sierpień), October is flax connected (more precisely what's left from preparing linen), November is also the month of falling leaves (listopad, list + pad), and even December is similar (grudzień; that's actually the same etymology! gruda in Polish and gruodas in Lithuanian both mean something like frozen mud :)
Similar climate, similar lifestyle, so similar words. Etymology is cool.

Thanks for this lesson. Now I can put together my Lithuanian calendar. I was born in November. How would I say Thanksgiving is in November in Lithuanian?

That would be " Padėkos Diena yra Lapkritį or Lapkričio mėnesį"

@@spokenlithuanian7186 Thanks. It was my Grandparents favorite day when they came to JAV in the early 1900's.
