This is so much harder in the failed. Pumps have usually been leaking a long time. Broken rusty bolts, rusty seal plate, seized impeller. Thanks for showing us I use the steps though.
I have one to do that was last done in 2006. It won’t be this easy. The rusty crusty ones are the most fun. You skipped the part about replacing the brass sleeve to the new stainless steel sleeve.
What I see in other video was to joint with the part with the springs the side of the motor have a Allen screw and the other side of the pump another Allen screw and bolt it with the 4 bolts
Where do you find the seal part#? I work in a very old facility and alot of the models and serials are weathered, I was just wondering if I was looking on the right places.
Ffs both terrible and vague answers. On those pumps there is a data plate on the motor sled frame. (There should be one.) It will have your pump series and size. For instance, it could say 1510 and a number below that will be the size number, which let's say it's 2BC. You can take a picture of the data plate also if it's not in too terrible shape and give it to your local parts dealer and they can help you select the correct pump kit.
@@sparkybr1449this or get yourself a US seal catalog and caliper. In a couple hours you can learn how to measure seal heads, spring length etc. Order the mechanical seals from US seal for a fraction of the cost. For example the seal in this video is a PS-978.

If it's a B&G Pump, you can look it up by the model number
