I have both. Both of them are useful in their own ways. I use my iPad to take notes and store my textbooks and my computer to take exams, do assignments or projects
Bro that's a great setup too and in samsung tabs you can do much more than an iPad could (recent ones like from 5se - 6 to 7+). And also windows and Android are more user friendly 😉💜
i need help im in uni now and i need to get a laptop because i have had my ipad air now for so long since 2014. Im on a budget like as cheap but as really good and it needs to have microsoft not anything else because i dont like windows idk why but somene help me with whats rlly good
I’m really leaning into getting a MacBook to replace my dell. It is the safe option because I know I can do everything on it. But at the same time I want to digitize my studying process with an ipad
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ and a Windows laptop (I made a mistake, and got a laptop that's basically a portable desktop), then bought a MacBook Pro 14' later on. And, yeah I'd completely agree with what you're saying. I later bought an S8 Ultra because of the larger screen, and I value both quite equally. Samsung notes works across all devices (yes there was a Samsung notes version for MacOS), and I absolutely love it!
Such a helpful video! honestly the amount of information you put into all your content & the quality is just amazing ( SO proud!) also you've made me want to get an iPad lolol x
I have a laptop (not a mac) and i use it to do my school things, and i don’t know if i should buy a new macbook to replace that laptop or buy a ipad pro, because it’s more portable and flexible
I would say that the iPad and MacBook are just as portable as each other, because the iPad Pro is quite heavy, especially if you add a keyboard. I think the safer option would be a macbook because they are amazing and you can do everything on there (except write with pencil ofc) but the pen thing on the iPad is more for fun + make you more engaged in lectures, studying. If I had to choose one I think it would be macbook even though I loveee the iPad! typing on the mac is more productive for me. also I’d say that lots of people get along fine with a non-mac laptop so if you wanted to keep that and see how you go then I think it would be fine. depends on your budget :)
Thanks Mia your video is so helpful and it made me finally made up my mind on whether I should get a laptop or I pad Wish all the best for your chanel your so sweet ❤️❤️

hey! yeah it’s a close one really. the main reason i’d choose an iPad over paper is cuz for my course I have an excessive amount of notes to write so if I had it on paper i would have so many binders and if I wanted to find something it would take soo long to flick through! but obvs an iPad is a lotttt more expensive than paper. I think if I used paper this year I’d be absolutely fine, just a bit more of an inconvenience :) also everything on my iPad is backed up so if I lost it then I still have my notes but paper is easily lost/damaged. what you could do if you want a similar thing but an iPad is a bit expensive, is do your notes on paper and scan them in and keep them on google drive or an app xx
@@ellalouisa4953 paperlike is really good but a regular matte screen protector is probs better regardless if your on a budget because in my experience they feel the same and paperlike marks up a little easier. But just a recommendation, if your thinking about this lookup paperlike vs matte screen protectors to see if you might like them better. 💙
@@miaalicex I'm not sure if you've tried it, but how is Apple notes? I've never used it as I have Samsung tablets (and I don't think the notes app on MacOS is Apple notes right?) and instead I use Samsung notes. I was wondering if Apple notes would be better, but from what I've seen from mates using it, it's significantly worse in terms of features.
Im in grade 12th right now and bought a samsung s9 fe + like 2 months ago and ive honestly stopped using my laptop cuz i do everything on my tablet. But school doesnt involve major usgae of laptops and college does. And ive been confused whether in the next year i should even buy a laptop...would it be a wastage since i already have a tablet. Cuz there are times when i judt have to open my laptop and type down importsnt documents which a tablet obviously cant replace.
So I was an accounting major. Personally, I preferred my iPad over my MacBook and the main reason why is because my professors gave us the slide deck before class so I would write/take notes on it during the lecture via good notes. If you’re going to get the iPad, definitely get a keyboard with it (doesn’t have to be the Magic Keyboard) because you will be typing tons of papers and i wouldn’t recommend depending on the school’s computers to do that especially during finals week because everyone and their mother will be there using it. I’m back to studying again but for my CPA and still use my iPad more than my MacBook for it.
I would say they’re equal! because the screen size is almost the same and if you’re presenting you just change the slide which you can obvs do on both. maybe I would lean towards the iPad because it’s touch screen so you can zoom in / swipe easily :)
I noticed getting proper work done on the MacBook is easier but taking notes/attending zoom lectures so much more enjoyable on the iPad
Yes I agree!
I have both. Both of them are useful in their own ways. I use my iPad to take notes and store my textbooks and my computer to take exams, do assignments or projects
can i take exams on my ipad ? and assignments
@@raullsaba For exams you could only use a laptop. As for assignments, it depends. Personally I use my laptop for assignments and exams.
Me watching while using a samsung tablet, a desktop pc, and still in highschool: 👁👄👁 *interesting*
Hahaha love it

I’ve not used that iPad so don’t know about it!

Do you think an iPad with keyboard and Pencil will be enough for a student criminology?
I want to know that to! Am going getting my cosmetology and criminology
I would imagine so because it’s sciencey so the pencil would be good for writing maths but I don’t know anyone studying criminology! sorry :(
Yes, I think so.
But I would definitely take the 256GB version and not the 64GB.
If I’m doing applied science in college (It’s a btec so assignment based) and then I want to do Radiography in uni, is iPad or MacBook?
def macbook
I’m debating to get a laptop as well bc we are required to graph and use excel and I can’t get the app on the ipad to get the full version
samee.
I'm a graphic design & chinese language student ! What do you recommend? Laptop or iPad??
You absolutely need a full computer for graphical editing, especially if you’re using photoshop or some other similar software
Same im a language major im wondering as well. But honestly orob laptop
where do you write your notes on your ipad, the apple notes app?
notability ! x

Hi would you need a laptop or ipad for accounting, i currently have an ipad but i don’t know if i would need a laptop or not
I’m not sure I don’t know what an accounting degree is like! You could look for UA-cam videos about an accounting degree
Hi! I’m going to major in accounting too! I was wondering if you found out whether the iPad or Mac was best?
Since I’m just now watching this I wanted to see if you could help :)
i want to study law with criminology , and it’s more essay based . is an ipad a bad idea then ?
Omg I wanna study criminology next year and can’t decide what to do either
definitely laptop, its easier to type but if you go tablet based you can always purchase the keyboard extension to make typing easier.
How hard is it to do dissertations on the ipad?
Not sure haven’t done dissertation yet :)
Which size ipad do you have the 11 or 12.9inch?
12.9

Hi! Do lecture rooms at Bath have built-in power outlets?
No they don’t
Can someone give me a recommendation on a 2 in 1 laptop and cheap too around £350 i would spend with long life battery thank youu🙂
Thats virtually impossible, my suggestion is getting a refurbished ipad and a 3rd party keyboard folio case

yes there is multitasking on ipad, you can use up to 3 apps while multitasking
