I use to work for a lawn care company and i had my own solo route but I was always trained to mow and then trim so you make sure you get everything you couldn't get with the mower
@@kodypilger Maybe on a more overgrown lawn but it has always worked out perfectly for me. on lawns that are overgrown I will hit them with the trimmer before and after and they usually look really nice
Same here man, I mow then trim, I know exactly what my mower gets, I just like the look after better, it’s a preference, these guys arguing makes no sense haha, keep doing you, I’m sure it looks great
Thanks for the video guys. My mower has a "catcher." So my sequence is a little different. Edge, trim, blow then mow last. I blow all the trimmer clippings and soil from the concrete pathways onto the lawn. Then mow and pickup all clippings with the catcher. I tried several different ways and this gives me the cleanest, fastest results.
Few things I noticed here bud... why start with the boundary? Just start doing your stripes and finish with your boundary to cover and erase any turn marks. 2nd I would never drive off the edge without lifting the deck when those casters drop off a nice edge like y'all have that's dropping ur deck height. Lastly you gotta blow off any decks or patios as well as the entirety of the driveway and sidewalks/curbs even if just to clean any pollen or other stuff. Just lil differences but u guys do great work and have great attitudes definitely would be great people to work for/with. Wish u and tq success and nothing less.
I mow my parents yard for them and they love the techniques I have gathered from watching your channel. Couldn't be happier. I used this technique mowing a friend's lawn and she loved it as well. I'm trying to get a business going this year.
Hi Friends great information I saw a lawn mower trick spray dry lube on the underside of the deck to prevent grass from sticking have a day love from TEXAS
Kind of a waste imo cuz after 1 cut the dust or water from the lawns dries it up or washed it away and puts u right back to square one. Also I wouldn't want wd40 or any other lubes on my lawns or my trailer floor. Just scrape ur deck at the end of the day and pull never have to spend more than a cpl minutes doing it
I never thought about doing that way I owe my business for 3 years and I never thought about you and that way like you guys do so I'm going to start doing that
I’ve seen many professional and home owner lawn care guys perfer to mow first trim and edge and then blow. But overgrown lawns and cleanups usually edge and trim first blow the grass mow and blow again. Most importantly trim the bushes if they need it before blow the beds and mow
Thanks for the tips 👍. I always keep one wheel on the concrete and one on the grass and I will never do that again thanks to the helpful tip! Thanks for the video
Love the videos than you for teaching me how to mow properly and making me less of a rookie. Lol. Thanks for making my day better just by showing how happy you guys are.
New to the channel, starting a new business this coming spring, SMALL, just a few lawns a week, I am not an artist with a paintbrush, but not so bad with a mower, blade, and string edger.GREAT Information!!! Thanx!
I mow first this way I don’t have to worry about the edges being crushed with my tires. Then hard edge once a month and lastly trim and blow This allows me to see where my mower could not get too and therefore be an eyesore so I can see where to trim.
Thank you Think you. That's what us new guys need to know. Like last week you told us about how to remove lumps of wet grass out the lawn by lifting the mower deck up one notch. That help me a lot because I had a lawn with wet grass the next day and it work real good.
I always mowed first then edged then weed eated. Then bowed it off. I'll switch starting today on the order of the job. Thanks for the tips. Hennesay Yard Clean Up
Great Video! Loved the idea yesterday about branching out your business. I think that is great! Hope you have a great night. "Things work out best for those who make the best of how things work out." -John Wooden
In georgia when the bermuda is in full swing, I have to hard edge every other week. I have a rotation where I hard edge one week, then bed edge the next.
Definitely not saying there's anything wrong with the way you guys do it everybody does their s*** different and that's what works for you and that's what it comes down to.
Tell ya what you guys give me the itch to get back in the industry. Never owned my own business, always worked for someone else and now just kinda do side jobs here and there landscaping. But boy to have a business like yours and run it myself, that’s a dream I might pursue.
One thing not mentioned is when turning near a bed, always turn so you are discharging away from the bed. This helps avoid the clippings going into the bed, making cleanup harder. It's hard to avoid blowing some mulch into the yard when trying to clean up the clippings...so try and not need to.
I’m a strong believer in mow then trim then blow because when u mow first u can see everything that needs trimmed and don’t have to trim extra I also just back edge with regular string trimmer not an edger but to each their own
Now I just need an edger and a good blower. Just out of curiosity on that driveway. What would you do if they had weeds growing up through the seams? Have you ever ever tried the vinegar, salt and soap solution?
Hey kurt I have used that mixture before and u really have to saturate the weeds and even then it works about half the time. They sell organic weed killer safer than round up but it costs a lot more and as long as ur applying round up properly it's not dangerous. Tip spray the weeds before u mow to allow at least 20 to 30m for absorption (careful not to get weed killer on ur feet or tires as u will kill lines of grass). Or u can trim them down but u have to leave a good portion to allow the weed to absorb the weed killer. When I come back next week the weeds will be dead so u can lightly hit them with trimmer
Loved the video Spencer’s. That property was perfect for your tutorial. The finished product was magnificent. Enjoy your evening,& have a wonderful safe week.💯❤️👍🏾😀👏🏾🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Got that one looking good y'all! I used to hop right on the mower and then trim and noticed I had to do more blowing/cleaning when i got done b/c I had big pieces left from trimming, but now I def trim first then mow it all up. Keep grinding y'all and stay safe!
We hard edge in all communties do to everyone always wants that deep edge, and the edger doesnt slings rocks like with the weed eater and doesnt hits the car or someone elses car or window at that, then we mow and weed eat, and also weed eat what was edged up or whatever the mower didnt get then we finally blow off driveway and windows as some grass gets on the balcony of windows
Hey guys beautiful day out u guys. Just to let you know when u give that mower away it will rly change someone’s life. I would rly like this mower to take my business to the next step. Have a good night guys
I use to work for a lawn care company and i had my own solo route but I was always trained to mow and then trim so you make sure you get everything you couldn't get with the mower
I agree, it takes lots of repetition to know what the mower is going to miss before you mow it.
Yeah I have always mowed then trim. im going to get a edger tomorrow (soo excited) and I will probably do that first
Looks messy to trim afterwards. You should know where your mower can fit if you use it every day.

Man I can’t get over how good y’all’s set up is y’all have came a long way u can never stop growing there’s always room for improvement
YEAH
I’m the same way I try to compare myself to other people that have multiple years of experience.
i did 8 yards of mulch today one man crew also i like the way you do your professional lawn care makes the lawn look so good
I'm really falling in love with those multi forces wish I could have one but all I have is a Toro 22' recycler
I noticed that you go easy on the blower near the customer’s doors, windows and property that can be damaged by flying debris. Love tge tips.
Hi Friends great information I saw a lawn mower trick spray dry lube on the underside of the deck to prevent grass from sticking have a day love from TEXAS
I use WD40

Nailed it! 3 point turns are crucial. Especially wnen the turf is moist.
I’m happy to see that you guys protect your ears. Thank you for the good information and stay safe.

What a way to end a Monday. Great job guys keep it up.
I agree with your trimming methods. Less that needs to blown back onto the lawn after you mow.
Love the videos than you for teaching me how to mow properly and making me less of a rookie. Lol. Thanks for making my day better just by showing how happy you guys are.

I love these kinds of uploads! Great video once again! God bless
Do you have a mulch kit (the baffles) on that mower? Also what was the name of that discharge flap. Ty!!
Edge, trim, mow and blow is the way to do it. I learn from the best.
I can't explain how much this is needed
The timing is a God thing, because I'm showing this video to my helper. Got called back on a few lawns this week and lost a big one
He mows for me solo at times fyi
I always mowed first then edged then weed eated. Then bowed it off. I'll switch starting today on the order of the job. Thanks for the tips.
