  • "Easter Seals Crossroads asks what goals you want to achieve, finds out your limitations, and allows you to get over your limitations with their technology." Charisse Cogell is a "semi-quad", a person who has very limited use of their hands. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of assistive technology and the people at Easter Seals Crossroads, She is now an entrepreneur and college graduate. She mentions that writing a letter using a one-finger keyboard would take an enormous amount of time. Cogell credits Dragon Dictate for making all written corespondence possible. Driving is even a reality, thanks to specialized controls installed in her van. Charisse ends with this powerful quote: "Even though you have a physical limitation, it doesn't matter. With assistive technology, there is no 'I can't'; it's always 'I can'."
