Oh God, seeing Light's transition from a bored yet innocent teen to an insane maniac in the duration of a few minutes with those lyrics and the scenes... Heart- wrenchingly sad.

Light was a Hardworking Honor Student who was considered one of Japan's Best and Brightest.
His character development was shit, though. That's why not many people sympathize with him. Then again, everyone's chardev wasn't that good. Death Note was too plot-oriented and forgot about its characters, in my opinion.

This made me cry so hard light yagami was my favorite character. out of every single anime I've ever watched. He was quite brilliant extremely logical. this just shows how that power of killing people changed a boy who wanted to change the world into a mass murderer I supported light with all his plans and ideas. The majority of death note fans hate light because he killed L. I was a little shocked that L died but it really didn't phase me. But when light died. I sobbed. I felt like that was the absolutely wrong ending for the show it felt to sudden. also I HATE NEAR WITH A PASSION. He was such a savage tho but I still HATE near.

Light is an example of when one person holds to much power. They go insane and believe that their God.
The end is pretty much the sadest scene i have ever seen...that moment when he noticed, this time there is nobody left to help him...he kicked everybody away from him and died alone in the end.

So you think finding out his real name would be his aim?I think killing L was what Light was really aiming for. He reached his aim and you cant say letting somebody else do it for him is cheating...i could say finding out his name is cheating too :D
the ending to deathnote kinda made me upset. At the beginning of DN I was on Light's side 100%. Until he killed L. After that, and seeing him kill and use so many innocent people such as using Misa and killing Takada I began to see him as the mass murderer that he truly was and was on Near's side after that. The part that upset me was that Light was making valid points about his ruling before his death. The world was leaning towards Kira and without him, crime would increase again. Yet they let him die, thus letting the world go back to potential chaos. Any one else's thoughts?

In the end, Light was just a kid who made some bad decisions. It's kind of sad, how all of this could have been avoided by just not picking up the notebook in the first place. This is a really well-made AMV, with a nice choice of song as well!
Yeah if he didn't pick it up he would be the innocent Light he was and still part of the task force.
@@fireforestlazy7463well not totally there is a fakeness or performative quality to his sense of justice (Which L in the manga shows a certain amount of annoyance at) Light always had the capacity to do what he did and that's because similarly to L light is motivated by what is mentally stimulating and interesting to him, not really justice. Even after the second killing light did with the death note, where he almost threw up from the guilt of what he did, his boredom still got the better of him and he continued to kill afterwards. His sense of justice is somewhat there in a warped form but it masks the base reasons for much of what leads into his actions which was boredom, light pursues justice not because of a moral reason but instead based on the fact it's interesting and creates a challenge whether that be trying to out fox L or creating a "new world". So technically he was always a little morally gray, he seems more innocent during the yostuba arc because he doesn't believe he is kira and L has no interest in clearing his name so if Light wants to not have his life ruined he needs to be advocating for himself and working on solving the kira case.

Ahh where do I start??? This is such a good AMV! I especially love the part where it shows Light in the classroom and the song says "An innocent child with a thorn in his heart" like ouch. Actual pain felt, Then in the middle at like 1:41 when Light's eyes fade into Ryuk's, I just think that's cool. And then the first part of the last chorus is especially good, it's so dramatic I love it! And just.....Light's voice at the end,,,,,,just stab a fork into my chest please it will cause me less pain. 10/10 AMV bro, love it.

Man, I can't get over how incredibly sad this is, and the whole death note story in general. I have yet to finish the series, but I know what's coming. I just wonder if Light ever felt remorse.. like did he ever regret anything or find out how inhumane he was acting at the end? It's so hard to think about how so much power and control can completely change a person.. I mean, I guess even when he wasn't in possession of the death note, he kinda had the same views... but he had told himself he couldn't bare the thought of killing someone, but he also asked the contradicting question of 'would he?' Would he actually kill all the bad people in the world to make it a better place if he could? He told himself that was crazy, but I think he was just in denial of the thought...
Btw, this AMV is really good!

It amazes me to this day how people hate L for doing his job and LOVE Light for being...a psychopath. Why??? Yes, it's agreeable that we live in a sad state of the world, but to abuse the power he had...can't get with that.

But yeah, at the time the anime came out lots of folks were Team Light, but never explained why. I guess that just shows how much of a charismatic, arrogant '' *insert word* '' Light was. :-)
