16217 / 18 Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi Express is an Express train belonging to Indian Railways Southern Railway zone that run between Mysore Junction and Sainagar Shirdi in India.
It operates as train number 16217 from Mysore Junction to Sainagar Shirdi and as train number 16218 in the reverse direction, serving the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Maharashtra . The train covers the distance of 1,306 km (812 mi) in 25 hours 17 mins approximately at a speed of 55 km/h (34 mph).
The 16217 / 18 Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi Express has 1 First AC cum Second AC , 2 AC 2-tier , six AC 3-tier, 7 sleeper class, two general unreserved & two EOG Generator Car coaches . It carries a pantry car.
The 16217 / 18 Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi Express runs from Mysore Junction via Bangalore City, Dharmavaram Junction, Guntakal Junction, Bellary Junction, Gadag Junction, Bijapur, Solapur, Daund Junction, Ahmednagar, Puntamba to Sainagar Shirdi.

Mysore Junction railway station, re-christened as Mysuru Junction railway station (station code: MYS) is a railway station on Mysore-Bangalore railway line serving the city of Mysore, Karnataka, India. Previously Mysore was connected to Bangalore by a single-line metre-gauge track. It was later converted into non-electrified broad-gauge line. It has now been converted to a double-line, electrified route.
The heritage Mysore Railway Station building was constructed in the late 1940s. Currently, it has 6 platforms. All are connected by barrier-free access via lifts, subway and 2 escalators. On the right side of the building, are counters for unreserved ticketing and advance booking. There are also automatic ticket vending machines. The Mysore Railway Division and the Mysore Railway station have a reputation for cleanliness. According to Railways authorities, it is the cleanest of the 3 division of the South Western Railways. As part of the beautification, in 2019 a sculpture "Life is a Journey" by local artist Arun Yogiraj was installed in the entrance to the building. The sculpture consists of 6 statues representing travelers in typical postures.

Sainagar Shirdi railway station (station code: SNSI) is a major railway station serving the city of Shirdi, Maharashtra state, India. Sainagar Shirdi is a railway terminus and belongs to Central Railways of Indian Railways. It is located at about 3 km from the Holy Divine Temple of Shri Sai Baba. Shri Sai Baba Mandir is the most famous and most visited Shrine of India. Lakhs of people come every day to seek blessings from Shri Sai Baba with the help of this railway station. Temple authority Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust runs free buses from the station to the Temple.
The 17.5 km (11 mi)-long Puntamba-Shirdi link, connecting the holy city of Shirdi to the Manmad-Daund branch line was completed in 2009. Work began in 2003. The new railway station, Sainagar Shirdi is well connected with many direct trains to different places. The Manmad-Puntamba-Sainagar Shirdi is a broad-gauge line which was electrified in 2011-12. Before this rail link pilgrims reached the town by road after alighting at Kopargaon, Nagarsol, Manmad and Nashik Road railway stations.
An IRCTC food canteen is present in the first platform of the station. This provides both in house sitting and parcel services. Snacks are sold by other vendors.
