Loved this video!! Thank you for posting. We aren’t using these exact books as we have a different phonics program . But we started using Jody A for teaching my son his sight words. We started 6 weeks ago and he didn’t know any sight words unless they were ones easily sounded out. So he wasn’t a fan of reading (unless we read to him then he loves books). He now breezes through them. Almost done level K and going to move on to Grade 1 after Christmas. His reading has come so far in just six weeks.
We started using Jady A's format for reading when my daughter was 3 years old and now at 5 she is reading at second grade level!! I love that Jady expanded her curriculum! I also recommend Jady A's curriculum for beginners.
Same! I started homemade letter sound flashcards when she was 1 and she knew them all before she was 2. I then made flashcards that had the 2 letter blends at the start of the first book (ba be bi bo bu) and she had that down by 2.5 and was reading small sentences like "the pot is hot" by age 3. She was 4 reading any picture book and recently had her 6th birthday; she can now read at a 3rd or 4th grade level. I gave birth to my 3rd daughter when my middle daughter was about to turn 2. The toddlers are now 3 and 1 so I'm just getting around to teaching my 3 year old the 2 letter blends using Elemental Phonics Level 1! I only managed to do letter sound flashcards with her just enough to prevent her from forgetting during pregnancy and her baby sister's first year of life. I'm so happy to finally have the time and energy to move onto the next step! Conveniently, it seemed to perfectly line up timing-wise with when she started showing signs of readiness and not being in " toddler la la land" all of the time so she can actually focus on a lesson now. I might purchase Levels 2 and 3 from Jady after she completes the 1st. 🙂
I'm in Jamaica, and I'm a homeschool teacher and I only use Jadya books with my students. I mean like these are textbooks on my students book list. I'm in love with her resources.
Thank you so much. My daughter will be 3 in April so we don't have a home schooling schedule just yet. I'm definitely going to incorporate this into our curriculum.♥️
Hi Gina! Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m so excited to use this for my twins when they come of age. You’re doing an amazing job with your little ones!
I love the lay out. My 5 year old blazed through ALL the sentences last night lol but weave been doing a reading Curriculum for 4 months so I expected that. Going to get level 2. I think it's great reinforcement and simple lessons.
I’ve never heard of Jady A!!! This looks awesome!!! Nothing wrong with with not pointing as he’s reading it!!! I love the marble ein idea as a reward!!!
Thank you!! I've never heard of this before. I want to find something with sound focus and this looks like it's perfect for what I want. My son is dyslexic and everything I've tried he's either overwhelmed or doesn't enjoy it. He very much so wants to be to the point and doesn't like fluff work.
This reminds me of teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons but nicer. Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen these workbooks on amazon but didn’t know what they were!
Happy this was helpful! Voiced sounds are ones where you can feel a vibration. On the other hand, unvoiced sounds do not make a vibration in your vocal chords. Unvoiced consonants are made just with air, sound from the vocal cords. For example, hh, sh, tt, pp. Voiced consonants do have voice in them, like: mm, bb, zh. Hh, sh, tt, pp.
@@lifewithginab my mentor used The Handbook for years at her Christian Preschool. But it isn’t as child friendly I don’t think as these. She would create printable pages to go with them and I think she would have loved these books.
We're seriously considering it instead of 100 lessons, I really like how she lays everything out! But first I need to get the 4.5 years old to learn the letter sounds. I've tried everything I did with my first as well as different and can't seem to get there. With time I guess 🤣. What have you used with your second?
Hi Katia ❤️ You know what? He was just showing signs that he was ready and I went with it. I think, like you said, take it slow, and every child is different. I have a lot of educational toys, and I would just go over the letter sounds a couple of mins a day... if we were to watch something on the TV, it would be educational, such as alpha blocks, and if he's on a tablet, he uses his Homer Learning app that I spoke about in the video. But yeah, I think slow and steady wins the race :) I really like this curriculum, though, because of how simple and affective it is!
This looks really good! Thanks for sharing!! You mentioned that you use it as more of a supplement. What's the main phonics or reading program you use?
Hi, what is the name of that online resource that you mentioned in one of your previous videos. I couldn't find it. That's kind of like teachers pay teachers but it's 2.99 a year

Hi, how does the kid master the lesson? like they are able to read at looking without reading each lettter or how should I ensure my child masters the lesson.
He was 3 when I started this and I filmed this when he was 3 years old. He's 4 now. We finished off the level 1 awhile a go, and he's actually reading so well. He has a late birthday... December. And yes, he is the one who I think is gifted. I'm not sure, though, but he loves learning, and I just go at his pace :)
@lifewithginab would you have him tested for proper learning environment? Maybe you could make videos for gifted kids! What's the next step after mastering the three levels

Yes! Great for reinforcement! We finished level 2 back in February and will eventually complete level 3.

Super interesting- thanks for sharing so many details! 🙌🏼
So happy to have found this video I’m currently using the level 2… which I’m a little confused on lesson 3 (there it says th voiced and the unvoiced)

How did you print in a work book format?
I actually bought these off Amazon! :)
Is there any lesson on upper & lower case letters or should the student know that prior to level 1?
They should know their upper case and lower case letters and sounds prior to starting :)
How are the sight words introduced?
I believe Jady A has other resources to introduce sight words. I just use this as an add-on to our curriculum for phonics
Hi, how does the kid master the lesson? like they are able to read at looking without reading each lettter or how should I ensure my child masters the lesson.
Hi! Once the child can easily read the words they have been practicing; you can move on to the next lesson
thank you so much@@lifewithginab

Hi..how to purchase this books
Hi! You can purchase through Amazon... here is the link amzn.to/3MyWrzI
Can we get the PDF file for this book?
Yes for sure. Check out Jady As website! :)
How can get this books ?
Amazon or on Jady A's website
Is this the only program you use initially?
Nope, I used the Good and the Beautiful preschool and kindergarten prep curriculum, and then I went into level 1... once I completed level K from the good and the beautiful I went onto level 2 of Jady A . So my son has completed level 2 so far from Jady A. Is there a teacher guide?
Nope! Not needed!
From where we can buy from srilanka
Amazon is where I got it from!
I bought the level 1.
After completing all the 3 levels, what grade reading level will the child be at?
I would say around 2nd grade level ( in my opinion )
