  • Only 40 minutes away from Guadalajara, in the town of Teuchitlán, we visited these amazing one of a kind conical, stepped, circular pyramids. They date back as far as 300-500 BCE and possibly even to 900 BCE. There is a great museum and exhibition hall on site, with lots of explanatory material and even a 20 minute video available in at 4 languages. If you're visiting GDL, this is a must see experience.     I always thought there wasn't really anything to see south of the border, besides deserts, dilapidated buildings, and taco stands. Maybe I thought wrong.
