This was so wonderful.. our marriage has crumbled because it was not Christ Centered . My husband left 5 weeks ago and by Gods Grace he has drawn me closer to Jesus than I have ever been. Brothers and sisters in Christ, please put Christ at the center of your marriage. I thought I’d be with my husband another 30 years. I don’t have any control. I’m praying 🙏 for Gods will. Thank you Vlad for this amazing message.

Similar situation with my husband and I we got together and spent 17 years together both unsaved. He was verbally and emotionally abusive for many years. I got saved May 2023, he said that turned him off. In July he cheated on me, in October he moved in with the woman he cheated with. In November he lost his job, and his new woman started treating him badly, then started hitting him and yelling for him to get out. Then she called the police and said he assaulted her and her 12 year old daughter! Now my husband is in jail with no bail waiting for trial. We have a 2 year old daughter together as well. I've been getting closer and closet to God during this time, and I know He'll either save my husband, or he'll send me a godly husband and godly father for my daughter. Everything is in God's hands. He knows what's best for us. ❤

I have filed for divorce but I still pray for my husband and our marriage. We have been talking in the last couple of days and we both agreed that marriage is a covenant between ourselves and God. God has provided us as individuals man and woman with biblical instruction on how to be as a husband and wife. That by following these instructions we honor God and simultaneously honor our spouse. We have decided to start fresh again with this as our foundation.

@@melaniemartin730 Its not really in the bible. It sounds nice but a covenant is really just an agreement between two parties, while a contract is legal document. A covenant can be broken in the same way a legal agreement can. I dont think it matters what you call it. God permitted certificates of divorce in certain situations which legally allowed women to remarry.

This brought me to tears. I am single, but just the thought of loving someone as God loves me blows me away 💗 God has shown me how much he loves me and I believe it’s more than I even know to acknowledge. I’ve been in abusive relationships and when you said, your relationship is only as good as your relationship with God, everything sank in. When I was far from God, no relationship in my life was healthy. Now, I have restored my relationship with family and made friends in Christ. I know God has a man in my future that will reflect the relationship we have together now ❤️ this teaching was beautiful

"Marriage is not about happiness, it's about holiness." Love it, marriage has responsibilities which must be honored and shouldered despite how we feel. Also, the woman at the well. Jesus saying she had five husbands and the one she's living with now is not her husband being evidence that cohabitation is not marriage in God's eyes. That marriage is something more. -- Just discovered your sermons, enjoy them and am learning much. May God continue to bless you, as He is blessing others through you.

My last marriage which I thought my ex husband understood covenant marriage and vowed he wouldn’t repeat what he did with his first marriage, apparently didn’t believe or understand covenant marriage. He repeated what he did the first go around and wanted us to no longer be married. It makes my head tilt when someone says they believe In what the Bible says but don’t obey it. I’ve moved on, it was his choice. And Father God has already healed and restored my heart because I made sure I stayed close to HIM. This was a very good teaching and have learned a lot more about what God wants for us who choose to marry.

What you did wrong was sleeping with someone else's spouse during a civil marriage it's called adultery. Listen to david pawson on the topic. Read the Bible and understand the context. Matthew 5 32 and 19 9 says saving for fornication that's a single person sex sin. Matthew was written t jews and they knew what that means. Churches including genhunger gets it wrong. Read the Bible do research and you'll find that their is no biblical grounds for divorce. If ypire on a adulterous civil marriage you are living in sin. Repent

    • @johnsonjj117
      @johnsonjj117 11 днів тому

There is contention about what constitutes biblical grounds for divorce and remarriage based on wording differences between Hebrew and English. Some believe the adultery clause was centered on the Jewish form of engagement and not marriage, either way the only way you can Biblically divorce (depending on school of thought) is if your spouse commits adultery or a non believer abandons you. If he was the problem with his previous marriage and divorced under non Biblical grounds, he had no Biblical grounds to stand on. Yes I do believe some second marriages can be blessed by God but there are so many wolves in sheep’s clothing out there. Sounds like he was one of those.

Thank you so much for this sermon. I’m one month into a separation from my husband of 15 years. We have four small children. Christ has never been the center of our marriage. The more my faith increased this last year the more my husband grew distant. The first and most pervasive statement from
him is I deserve to be happy. I’m doing a lot of praying, reading of my Bible and repentance of my own sins in our marriage. I pray daily for his salvation, reconciliation and an intact family unit. Without a heart posture towards Jesus and our own sin nature, a joy filled marriage seems nearly impossible.

An extremely SELFISH spouse does not get that it's not ALL ABOUT THEM, and they are not looking to give. I am amazed that a person can be kind, gentle, and encouraging, but OH...SO...SELFISH. It manifests in many other ways. Truly, truly, love HAS TO BE A CHOICE! Marriage is about DYING to self to live unto CHRIST. Ephesians 5 is God's instructions for marriage, however, people need to be taught, IN ADVANCE of marriage, specific practical applications, by couples who have "been there and done that."
"I'm going to change my spouse because I'm NOT going to change my character;" true SELFISHNESS at its finest!

I recently got married and when I was still single and had not even met my wife yet, I already prayed to God about her & made my commitment to God that I would choose to love, honour and cherish her, especially when we were in the middle of a relationship difficulty, as I had a realistic understanding that these moments will come about, even & especially with her being the one God chose for me...that I would choose of my own free will yet guided by the Holy Spirit, my wife has all the qualities of character I prayed for which meant she is a God fearing woman who loves God more than me & I prayed for that because it's better for me & for us & I know I must love God & his principles more than I love her & that is better for her because when we both love God & his principles and seek the kingdom first...we will love & honour each other & see each other how God sees each of us...my wife is an awesome woman of God who is loving, respectful, caring and wise, she also has no fear of challenging me if I am not seeing or I'm being stubborn in a carnal way...& I do the same for her...in love...we present our perspectives to each other objectively and with love, supported by words of encouragement and praise...& say things like "we can do better",we can do this " we will grow stronger together ❤️ "
We honoured God through our courtship and God honoured us & ordained our union.
So single men and women...know what your asking for when you pray for God to bring you or help you search for your wife or husband...be realistic yet believing in faith about how God is there to guide you both & make your bond stronger & true.
Embrace the reality & the beauty of the sand paper ministry or as iron sharpens iron.
What comes from this is "honesty" yet it is honesty that allows it to mature and fulfil your growth & potential for a long future together ❤️
    In Jesus name, Amen 🙏

I have listened to a lot of talks on marriage and read a lot of books. I think I got the most out of this message than all the others. I had recently prayed asking the Lord what I could do-- what am I doing wrong, etc... and this is was the answer I received. I sort of knew this before, but this message made it very clear. It has given me a paradigm shift-- a new way of seeing things, which is what I think I needed. I really wish I would have known this before getting married or at least early in our marriage. We have been married for a long time. Both are committed to staying married, but suffering in the process, not really resolving the issues. Thank you Pastor Vlad for your teaching, but also for being so transparent and saying hard things that others are afraid to do. We need the truth. You also made me laugh too, which was nice. God bless you and your lovely wife.

I'm very thankful to God for everything that He is teaching me through your words, that I know for sure that are His words by the Holy Spirit.
Since day 1, I've been trying to figure out what God wants me to do with my marriage, and it's been like a roller coster. But God all the time is telling me you are the problem, not him. My parents had a contract marriage for 50 years, and one day, they came apart. That was terrible for me because they were my best example of a marriage even when they were not Christians. So now I can understand after 19 years of marriage that even though we got married with God blessing, I'm running a contract marriage. Your words let me know what I need to change on me so we can become a convenant marriage.
    God bless you.

Thank you, I was brought to you and your service by a woman who I believe God meant me to meet. After being divorced for over 16 years I thought that I would live my life alone, so did she and she has been divorced for 3 1/2 years. You have touched my heart and I love that every thing you preach is biblically based. Thank you again.

The bottom line in solving any problems is drawing closer to God and resist the devil. It is impossible to sense God's present and fight at the same time.

Wow I 100% agree with you as Joel has an audience of 3 million and I do follow him. This right here is real preaching, it's given raw and it's truth. Different ministers have different anointings or agendas. Our culture cannot handle this realness as they aren't ready for THE ONLY TRUTH which exposes our flaws. I'd love nothing more than for everyone everywhere to receive this and put into practice Gods beauty for our real lives...the world is still drinking milk however remain in faith that at the appointed time they can and will eat these solids.

Greetings in Jesus. Great topic and treatment.
I really need to stick a pin.
I do not agree with Christ followers marrying at Court. Marriage is an institution of God. With Biblical references in mind, matrimony was such a celebration that the occasion lasted for several days, I understand! It should not be treated as a secular agreement done within the space of the same ppl who give marriage rights to ppl of similar biological genitalia. Neither should we be so carried away by the ceremony itself that we end up indebted for years to celebrate...Marriage and Matrimony are sacred and should be treated with intentionality to give God the primary Glory as authentic marriage is a reflection of Christ and His Body / Ecclesia. 🙏🌹🙌
