This is one of my standard Laughability lets play videos, I look at nostalgic Roblox stuff trending on TikTok.
Today I see forgotten Roblox games and other things like guests and tix in 2022... FUN!

I love how we get to see how Roblox has gradually evolved from a humble game to giant soulless corporation in the span of a couple minutes.

as a veteran player from 2011, i remember when there wasn't a limit of how many friends you could have but when they added the friend limit, everybody that couldnt fit in was just squeezed into your followers. safe chat was awesome and hilarious but was a needed at the time cause there wasnt a chat filter

And we had that feature called Best friends.
I remember when the feature got deleted and limited if you and your best friend had eachother in the best friend list instead of following & follower u automatic got transfered to friends.
I was fun when there wasn’t any boundary’s and you could pretty much do anything

But you can't make infinity friends anymore, plus if you use mobile or ipad there's no best friend options anymore.
One of the most forgotten features was being able to follow other players by using the leaderboard.

Player points used to be used for leaderboards, another forgotten feature. I remember I used to grind for points all day and getting that 1st place spot. There were 2 sections, one for players and another one for groups or "clans", not sure what clans is but I feel like it rings a bell.
Clans were like groups but it’s just people that worked together to get to the top of the leaderboards
I never thought how much I’d miss any of these features when others mention them again. When you mentioned parties… a blocked out memory unlocked again and I remember being so happy that I’d just get dragged with all of my friends and my brother into a game. All of those features began to dissapear and I never rlly questioned it until now! The Happy Home of Robloxia map was always used in the well-known “Admin House” games. Which shows how popular these maps were. I will miss all of these, cuz they really just summed up what made me play Roblox back then. But I’m glad Roblox is changing features for more memories.

Hear me out, there actually WAS a way to see how many player points you had, back in like early 2017 or something there was a leaderboard feature on games that gave out player points. And there was also a "group total player points" leaderboard on the same leaderboard feature and it was pretty cool.
Back then I joined a game and it literally gave me millions of player points
I got so upset when that feature was removed :((((

Being someone who played this game since 2007, all of these still hold dear to me. Too bad we'll never get them back and for the newer players to never experience them first hand.
Player points I remember, I wondered what they were and apparently there was a leaderboard for each game and who had the most player points was at the top. You could access the leaderboard on the games main page.
A laughability feature nobody remembers: the old outro walking guy
i hated parties. my friends always put me in them without me wanting to, and sometimes dragged me out of games i was playing, just to go to another game. i hated it. i always left when i was put into one and never used them
Yeah, I never had them but that sounds like pure hell.
@@TheCatInhaler-xn6cv it certainly was. i would always be put in one while i was playing a game and then get suddenly dragged out of it and put into another game.
i looked for any way to disable them but i never found one and just had to keep leaving them whenever i was put into one.
i feel like i have an outlier story for this feature, though. idk. most people liked them when it was the most annoying feature for me.
the tix and guest features were my favourite and are the most nostalgic for me. i remember not long after guests were removed, i made a fake guest account (the guest accounts always had a space, like Guest 1827 or something) and i made it Guest_1736 (or whatever the number was) and dressed up like one. my friends and i then entered a game and i started acting like a real guest, and people started freaking out about it. it was fun, i miss those times.

Player points was used for a leaderboard feature that got removed a LOOOONG time ago along with clans. Clans were like groups but it’s just where people come together in teams to collect as many player points as possible to make it up the leaderboard

The genre feature was not removed,it was just updated to when you would click in the genre you see for example, "continue" just click on that and then the menu pops up.
The 2010-15 logo is also my favorite too, I still feel nostalgic
8:36, when it's loading for a split second, on some games it will show the old player list.
I actually remember player points and had no idea they got deleted, I mean to be honest I never had any idea what they were used for so I guess I’m glad that every half second a notification pops up saying “you earned 1 player point for playing” doesn’t appear anymore

I miss Tix especially. Guests were deleted for a reason, and parties would've probably been useful even now.

Tix had a reason to get banned, There was a glitch that you could multiply tix or something since you could pretty much get infinte tix from it roblox had to remove it because if they still had tix they would be making less money.

I think there was a leaderboard about player points and who had the most and it was pretty cool, i liked competeting getting player points by grinding in suvrvive the disaster

Fun fact: You can add more than 2 hairs. Using the "advanced" option you can put in the item id (of an item you own) then it will be placed onto your avatar.
It doesn't let you anymore if you don't have a extension.

Related to the Genre topic when you said "Horror", it reminded me that free model's "Horror" genre has now been updated to "Scary".
1:06 so I actually started playing Roblox in late 2019 before guests were removed, and I actually remember them getting removed so here’s my side of the story
It’s the day before guests are removed and I’m playing Roblox, I get off the rollercoaster themed login and go to sleep, I wake up and sometime the next day I go on and the play as guest button is gone. I get confused and either the day of or the next few days I make an account which I don’t remember. It was interesting.
I say being a guest was fun, you communicated through things but chat. But I think that if they didn’t remove guests I wouldn’t get builders club shortly before that got removed.
You forgot about the feature on mobile where you have a dpad, thumbpad, and thumbstick, and 3 yrs ago it was removed so we’re stuck with a very glitchy joystick, and tap to move. I miss legacy controls.
I hate tap to move so much bro you can’t even jump.

I feel a lot of nostalgia from this, it really saddens me how all these cool features were removed due to very bad people doing very bad things.

Remembering the old ages of roblox; yes, alot has changed, even the epic duck, that used to be in a game once, even for how roblox changed their logo now, I still remember how the logo was once known as "Rōblox" before, and the TIX being a popular thing, but is barely around, the default avatar being a guest, now a bacon.
Still, none-the-less, I bet a lot of people who were in the past builds of roblox miss these things like I do.
Remembering builders club reminded me of the horrible time when I got OBT for a year (around $100) and then my account got hacked out of nowhere
Just a point for me to mention, about the old points (red, white star thingy).
Games that had this feature had a section 'Leaderboard', which had a list of the top players with the most points to bottom.
This section was found somewhere between the selections (Server, Store). Recommended games always appeared below and wasn't a selection from there before.
I just merely explained this by memory and from what I remember so I may have said some things wrong there.

I remember jumping in the air when I got more than 100 player points in one game, and I remember when I didn’t have an account, I was “guest 147” and I loved my little guest outfit. I remember all of these egg hunts, I had SO many eggs and I was so jealous when my friend got builders club. I remember everything.

i remember getting player points, but you can still get them in old games. it will just show up kinda like a badge saying "points awarded" this showed up in the default place the temple run kinda thing NOT LINE RUNNER
I think they may have removed the idea of using player points because like you said, could give you infinite of them, so it would be an infinite point generator and they just maybe scrapped the whole thing.

Player points actually exist in a few games, such as Flood Escape, Flee the Facillity, and games that follow up as "old".

Player points are still earn able I think, it’s just that most games removed them due to the exchange system not being fully implemented which made the points useless
i went in a game recently and i got like 2 points so yes they r still obtainable

I didn't fully forget about points. I just didn't know what they were for tho. I do know how many points I had also would be happy to see if they came back as a new currency that the game developers can enable and disable that allow players to use their points to buy gamepasses and stuff like that for free.

the party feature is maybe about the glitch that you could friend anyone without requesting them or they are your enemie or is it just that if your playing a game that only 1 player can join in and it will pull them and annoy them

Also, pretty sure you can have like 3 hairs and/or face items equipped if you’re on computer. You use the advanced feature at the bottom and item IDs.

The best era of ROBLOX has got to be 2016-2018. It’s what me and my brother grew up with, and it was still pretty modern but without as much toxic players.

I remember the player points, I used to play this elevator game and for each stage you survived you’d get some points. I never noticed it got removed.
I remember when I would use Guest accounts on my old gradma's computer during like 2015 or 1014 with the old logo and stuff, and playing epic mini games and having a lot of fun doing so... And watching Dennis Daily when he was younger.
7:50 you can actually scroll down all the way and click "advanced" then copy the first id thats in it then get another hair you want to wear then paste the id you took in one of the boxes when you click advanced again.
I guess the only thing I would say about present Roblox is just that it had lost it's color. Like the website did not have the blue bar in it's light mode, the premium is nothing but white instead of the colorful BC. The logo was also mostly white or black instead of the iconic red.
The party feature was so useful for me back then. Its always sat in the back of my mind when on the website yet nobody remembered. Cool for you bringing it back up.

I'm fairly sure that the dragging feature is still on console with parties, but it's really annoying sometimes lol
Even though I didn't get to experience some of these features on roblox I would still like to be there to try them out and be apart of them. And for some reason I still get nostalgia from the ones I have never experienced.
I remember there was this show on youtube about guests, they made it into an actual show later on, and it was just about 1 guest and his life throughout the changes of Roblox, the players, toxicity, happiness, and how bacons would soon take the name that Guests used to have. It kept the memory of Guests for about 2-3 years, but it soon fell off. I just wanted to point this out to see if anyone else remembers this.

I started playing roblox in 2016 with my brother. (at least that was when i was first introduced to it) in 2018 is when I got my first account. It was peak roblox. I played mcdonald's tycoon and cookie swirl c hangout all the time. when i lost my first ever account i made a new one and luckily i still have it. 2018 was probably the best year (at least for me) i met some of my good friends there but sadly most of them disappeared in 2020. Will miss them.
You can actually still equip more than one hair. It’s using the advanced accessory menu though so it heavily limits accessory usage too….
for player points each game had a player points leaderboard for who ever had the most points, and it had a tab like gamepass, or recommended games tabs. but because devs decided how much points you get in their game most just made you get 200m+ and the feature was completely useless and did nothing

1:46 I play this roblox game called doomspire brickbattle with my cousin quite often. Sometimes I used to notice the player points in the bottom right corner of the screen. I have no idea why they existed 😭
roblox is one of those moments when you look back at old versions of the site, and then look back on the new one, it just has the life drained from it, older roblox used to have so much colour and less toxic people, and now it barelly has any exitement attached to it, and now people post sweaty muscle t-shirts and act like they're the toughest man alive

Why did Roblox remove guests? The main reason Roblox decided to remove the guest feature was that it was being used primarily to spoil other players' enjoyment. Though there were some genuine beginners playing as Roblox guests, it was experienced Roblox players who used the guest feature to evade bans.

@parretuyt and they forgot those explotiers could constantly create new accounts to evade the ban, the problem is not the guest feature but how roblox punishes the exploiters. Unless it's an IP ban, good luck finding a feature to completely stop them.
1:08 I remember guest accounts. Before I made my actual account in 2020 i used to use guest accounts on my Tablet because i was not account to make a real account. Anyway, yeah it was a good feature like you said. Although playing it on a tablet in made 2015 with games lie Roblox high school the houses would often vanish and glitch a lot.

I remember builders club, and I also remember the day they changed it to premium. I had accidentally walked into a buy this game pass thing when I noticed a large amount of Roblox in my account suddenly, so I asked my brother abt it and he told me it’s not premium, but I still got my hat :D

I remember they removed tickets and also the draging feature and if you're on an Xbox party it automatically links you and it's annoying because it got rid of someone is 100 kill streak which is annoying

I only remember tix because of youtubers and stuff, I miss egghunts it was so fun, builders club is so sick, i had obc on my old acc but i wish i bought all 3 so i could have had all 3 hats, i remember paid audio it was so dumb lmfao, the OOF sound is a very iconic sound as well, the old 2015 roblox icon was amazing as well. having 1 hair is annoying i had to get btroblox to do stuff and it was frustrating.

As a veteran from 2018 I have seen some things alot of things like hackers, meetings friends in roblox finding glitches also I think I'm the only one who still likes player points idk why but I felt important when I got the message from playing I remember playing those marble races and I LOVED THEM for some reason it was fun to play also what was YOUR first game you played on Roblox? Mine was bee swarm simulator. Ps I really hope Roblox doesn't get worse in edaters copy's slender bacon haters seriously were all robloxians and we are all unique
