Yes these coins are based off collector value. There is very real reasons why numismatic coins are worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars. The reason old us coins are worth a lot of money is because there arnt a lot of them out there, and they have lasted decades through hard circulation. Unfortunately American silver eagles are not old, they have also never been through circulation. So a 70 vs 69 grade doesn’t really matter. Well over 30% of eagles are graded at ms 70. Compared to numismatic coins where often sub 1% all coins are graded high. I personally stay away from graded silver eagles, when it comes to selling you will often not get what you paid for. eBay takes your profit away, and dealers get this stuff in bulk all the time you went get a good deal. If you want collector coins old silver dollars in decent shape could be a good start :) Awesome video !!
It is just a link that sets the sigma to 1 Troy Oz Pure silver. You have to go through 2 or 3 menus to get to it. Just wasted clicks. It does nothing else.
@@MrKiwi13605 Would've centered in the green if you're making a YT video that requires a lot more clicks than going thru a couple menu's. Showing its definitely silver vs. this is just on the edge of being 100%
@@Meow_Ag47😅 you don't have a Sigma do you? That is not how they work. The Sigma basic (surface test only) has a setting for 999 silver and 9999 silver and will show results in the center for either setting. The Sigma Pro series models only have a 'pure silver' setting. Per the documentation from Sigma, 9999 will show in the green and 999 silver is indicated by showing slightly into the yellow. This is by design. Thanks for your interest.
