    Many thanks for this great video. I wonder how to know is the 3-year or the 5-year option in the peer-review route, we could choose?

      Thanks for watching. 3 year route is for when you’ve been on tier 2 prior to applying. So, you need to decide which visa route you qualify for, check the requirements and aim to have these beyond reasonable doubt 😊.

      @@BilingualAfricanStories actually nothing about this is currently on the website regarding which one to choose in case of peer-revew. I am on graduate visa since 6 months, a recent UK visa.

    The video is finally out.. thanks so much. Must I have PhD to apply for this academic/research route

      Not necessarily but a you need to demonstrate that you can conduct quality independent research. A PhD is one of the ways you can show this evidence. Then add publications and winning grants. All these help measure the impact you are making in academia. All the best and thanks for watching

    Hello Dr
    I am already a researcher and academic in the Uk university. Can I switch from my skilled worker visa to the global talent visa? Please if it is, is the support letter from the university sufficient enough??
    Thank you

      If you’ve been on the tier 2 work visa for 3 years, then switching to the global talent visa will let you qualify immediately to apply for ILR. We have 3 videos on our channel which explains this further and also tells you the documents you will need. Please watch the ‘immigration to the united kingdom playlist’ on our channel. Thanks for watching ☺️

      @@frankatoghansah730 maybe seek advise from an immigration lawyer but I don’t think they would given that Tier 2 work visa is separate from the Global Talent 😊. If you are able to then apply for the GT after 3 years of being on the Tier 2.

    I’m a new researcher with masters degree, pls can I apply for this route?

    • @BilingualAfricanStories
      @BilingualAfricanStories  4 місяці тому

      Thank you for watching ☺️. You could if you have been named on a prestigious grant (exceptional promise) and or have contributed significantly to the academic field in which you wish to be considered for. Most people would have had a PhD as the starting point ( assuming you are applying as promising talent) But a Masters or a PhD alone is not enough. Because, the key is making a confident argument of your contribution to the area in which you want to apply.
