Hello, I hope you are doing well. I'm Elle. I'm Asian. A few days ago, I went to Qatar for recruitment. I dressed well according to their rules. Let's say everything: I wore what they mentioned. Nothing more, nothing less. I finished my bachelor's degree in finance a few months ago at an overseas university. Becoming a cabin crew was my childhood dream, so that's why I wanted to try it so badly. I fully prepared for the interview in advance. I even studied for the questions. Finally, the day came. I went. I was shocked. So many people even didn't tie their hair in a bun. Comes in a ponytail. Some of them even wear black dresses and pants. When the time came, I went inside to meet the recruiter. From the beginning, she gave me a bad vibe. She didn't even greet me when I said good afternoon! She just directly asked me, "Why do you want to become cabin crew?" Let's say I watched many videos before I went. So I noticed this question is a frequent one. I was already prepared for this. So when I was answering, she cut me off and asked me, Do you have any experience in customer care?, and I replied yes because I worked at a call center for an insurance company while I was studying for my degree to pay my tuition. She also asked me how I handled the upset client. Both questions I was prepared for before. So I was very happy. After I answered, she said, Wow, and gave me a very impressed look. Then she told me we would send you an email. I was shocked. The girl who was next to me even couldn't speak English well, but she got selected. I'm not comparing. I saw people who wore dresses, pants, and light and dark colored shirts get selected. I saw a girl in front of me struggling to answer the question, but her recruiter was nice and talked with her and gave her an invitation. Honestly, I was so confused. I'm not saying I'm the best, but let's put it this way: I prepared for this interview in a few days for the questions and everything, but I saw people who didn't even put an effort into it get selected. For a moment, my whole world crashed down. But I met a girl in the interview, and she got selected. She went next day to English and tattoo scare text. She passed the English text. But she has a little birthmark, and they rejected her. But she told me one girl had a little burn mark, and they held her for a while and told her to declare it, and then they passed her. This is my first cabin crew interview. It's a very bad experience. But I would like to try again with different airlines. I can't try Qatar Airways anytime soon because it's traumatized me. Next month, I'm going to try Air Arabia. From my personal experience, I don't know what they are looking for, but I think it's all on the recruiter. She just scans you within 1 second; if she likes you, you're passed; if she doesn't like you, no matter how good you are, you're out. Thank you very much! Hello, I don't know you but I went through the same ordeal. I did the exact same thing you did. But I did qualify for the final interview only for them to reject me. So don't give up please you will be working in one of the best airlines there is on this earth and you'll grow to be more than a cabin crew. Cheers 🥂

I am Beata from Namibia.. i have listened to your videos for about a month now after all i have seen a Namibian citizen started working with Qatar airways earlier this this year .. i was so happy seeing a Namibian working with you guys .. i have few questions to ask regarding how to become a cuban crew .. 1. if the jobs is advertised as an open day does it allow everyone to apply or is hand in CV .. 2. Do i need to have a passport before applying or visa?

I heard they choose people who look like the particular country they are interviewing from. If the come to kenya they look for darkskin (or people who typically look kenyan) so it would be hard for them to pick an Indian in kenya and a kenyan in india.
I think they do that to diversify their crew.
So i think that is what was the case.
I feel Kenyans have a better chance in Kenya

Kindly no, I will disagree with you. It's not about what you look like in that particular country. If that is what they are following then they shouldn't have shortlisted those that don't 'look like the people of that country.' they shouldn't have replied to their application at all or mention it on the job post, simple.
Its all about the recruiter..if they like you regardless of how you look and dress..

Do they personally check you for scars and tattoos? I have a tattoo that is not visible and I don't feel the need to declare. Meet and greet is in January.

I saw on another video that they reject persons with nose piercings. Maybe that was also an issue? The UA-camr is ex QR cabin crew and said that you should remove the nose ring and conceal the hole.

Can a kenyan travel from dubai to qatar or vise versa to attend interview or you need to have a visa to move go and attend interview?
Yes you can dear but you need a visa to enter Dubai with Kenyan passport even though you have resident there

If someone has a nose piercing, can the person conceal it so it doesn’t show. And possibly not declare it?
Yes just make sure you hide it with concealer completely
From my experience , they prefer tiny girls and short like 5'5... alafu pia normally they quarter may be African quarter had surpassed
I noticed that too they were selecting short girls where most people think they are looking for tall ones is just luck
After several trials..most of. My petite friends got thru and I dint..

Sweetheart at least they come and recruit in Kenya but i have never seen them in Uganda, i have tried applying online several times but i get rejected
The apply now they have opportunities in keny go on their website then when they selet you fly to kenya
Quatar is so strict so i can’t risk and fly to Kenya i feel like my chances are low on getting hired
Who interviewed you? Can you please describe her appearance? When they conducted one in India, there were 2 recruiters sitting on two corners and conducting interview simultaneously. The one who was tall and fair was asking multiple questions and was giving invitation to almost everyone. But other lady, who was dusky and fat, she was very quick and doesn't gave invitation to anyone. Unfortunately i got the second recruiter🙃

Hi Julia, i have been shortlisted for the meet and greet on the 17th of this month. Please, tell me whether i should go or not. I have 1 keloid scar on my shoulder, and another keloid jusy below my knee. I have 10 years of customer service experience which includes some experience as a cabin crew. Just please tell me a straight answer, is it a good idea to not go because of the keloid on my leg?

In my opinion they minded age a lot, I was given an invitation for the next day and I’m African. The next day I met more African ladies with light and dark complexion. Also I believe it’s luck 🤔
Yeah it’s luck i agree but for the morning interview they were so selective also my friend was hired and she is 37 yrs old is not about age but anyway i wanted to just share for people to know is not only how how they look

Yes you can as log as it won’t show and you don’t declare it

I attended the Bahrain one I was the only African who passed through the last stage . But then they didn’t take me . They took Arabs Philippines and Indians . Only 10 people. Honestly it really depends with the recruiter .. I honestly felt sad I did a UA-cam video too abt you . Check it out . We try again next time 👍

I have emirates 2 times . Etihad they haven’t come to Bahrain for a very long time now just submitted online . But yeah will try again and again
I think that this is not the recruiter who takes the final decision about you.Because your candidacy is considered by the hiring recruitment management .

they are always hiring cabin crew, the staff turnover must be damn too high.
Yes because of their restrictions also to be fair Cabin crew job is not easy
honey your body language also mattes, actually it matters the most because if it was only beauty there would be many cabin crew in the airlines.
so try working on the body language.

Hi ! May i know if i dont have a high school diploma but i have a diploma in finance , can i apply ? Do you know anyone who got selected with out high school diploma , but with other qualifications ?
I went to the open day a few days ago and asked a similar question. My recruiter told me whatever degree or diploma I have, I must have at least high school diploma. But for example if you graduated from uni and have a bachelors degree, you can submit your uni diploma to them. If your Finance diploma is higher or equivalent to high school diploma, I think it should be ok! I hope it helps☺️

I got rejected in the first round..I had an interview on 2nd December..she just asked me what do you do currently..I have left my job, I was working as a software engineer and currently want to enter into the aviation industry..but maybe she didn't like me because of my previous academic background...I felt very bad... currently I'm preparing for this role only, doing some online courses,but she didn't like my answer..I don't know what I should say.. I'm 23..

Yes that true there’s service for that and you receive enough uniform like 6 shirts and enough skirts everything
