How do you like Warren's studio? What's your favorite piece of equipment?
I enjoyed watching Warren take on The Bride in Kill Bill Vol 1 with the shotgun full of rock salt....
5150 III
All the pultecs!

My first ever Studio Tour and it's on Kristian's channel! You Rock my friend! Great times!
Great to finally see your studio and on Kohle's channel
Enjoyed the contrast in sign offs
@@richardmcarthur40 haha yes!! Haha
@@metalman3227 yes! Kristian Rocks!!
It's about dang time lol
Cracked up when Kristian tried to avoid talking about the 5150. Kristian: "... we already covered this one...", Warren: "No, we didn't". LOL!!!!!
Haha he knows it’s great! He is always trying to get people to be creative and find other tones! I really respect that approach
been following warren since 2015....glad to finally see this
Thanks ever so much Kip! You Rock!
Warren is inspiration in human form

great tour, thanks guys!
Thanks Willem!
Love warren. Seems like such a nice guy.
We had a lot of fun together!
Thanks ever so much Jerry!
@@KohleAudioKult yes! We did
Awesome. I've been waiting for this so long. Thank you, Warren and Kristian.
Thanks Marc!
6 years studying with this ledge & I've only been able pin out the studio in my head purely from piecing different lessons together over the years. Stoked to sit down & watch this. Warren, how does it feel finally being on the other side of a studio tour! Love your work lads
Thanks ever so much my friend! Great to see you here Kaleb!
It’s fantastic being on Kristian’s channel
That' so cool! I always wanted to take a closer look on his studio! Great video !!!
Thanks ever so much
I absolutely love Warren Huart! So glad you made this. It was long overdue! Thank you!
Thanks ever so much!
Fantastic to see the studio, would love to see it in person one day! Thanks Warren
Thanks Dan!!
Thank you very much for the studio tour, Warren and Kristian! 🙋🏻♂️
You’re welcome! 🤘
You guys made the two best NAMM booth run through videos by far this year.
Aw shucks! Thanks ever so much
Nice Tour Kristian You rock! Seriously!
Yes, he does!
Kind of inspiring... to see that such a big name appears to do their good work in such an average looking, easily achievable, project space! Skill and putting the time in make all the difference (and he has great gear too.).
Thx for the fun video🤘
Thanks ever so much!
Warren, you are such an inspiration and I’ve learned so much from just listening to you and your guests share their experiences making legendary records. It’s such a treat to see everything in context, and phenomenally educational. I do have one question about what we didn’t see, or maybe I missed it in the background, but I was wondering if there’s a Studer in Spitfire, and do you ever track on tape at all? Thank you sincerely for bringing the most critical element of music production to the masses, in my book the engineers and producers are the real rock stars. Looking forward to many more great episodes of Produce Like A Pro, and thank you Kristian for enough gentle prodding to make it happen. I’m looking forward to checking out the EVH IR tomorrow and seeing how it blends with my cabs and their lowly 57s.
Yes! I have a Studer A80 which I do use!
What great chemistry!
Thanks ever so much! Yes, Kristian Rocks!!
The JCM 900 was my first gigging amp. I traded it in for the TSL100 like an idiot and have been looking to buy another on eBay for a couple of years.
I love the 900!!
You have great taste!
ahhh the old habitat, im surprised i just now came across it lol
ive been using the Bark of Dog (the DBX 120) plugin for awhile - often on kick tracks...great for a bit of extra "boom" and amazing for a freebie - great to see you mention it in a positive way) thats really about the only comment i can make on the stuff but thank you for showing us around Warren...good on ya mate 🤗🤗
I love the outdoor dartboard!
Haha thanks Ken!
Great video Kristian. Thanks very much. Subscribed!!!!
You Rock Joey!! Great seeing you here

Love to watch and listen to Warren, hope to meet him someday too

@@Producelikeapro Hellllloooo Warren hehe, truely deserved man. Keep it the good way and thanx for the video with John Brandt, i already learn a lot to built my studio with him
@@guillaumebery6764 that's wonderful to hear! Yes, John is wonderful!
@@Producelikeapro hehe thanx, hopefully i'll be able to send him datas of my studio this summer and start the acoustic this year, John is very busy
right on. warren is a great dude. learned from him
Thanks ever so much!
Thanks for the video, Warren has been a pinnacle in the audio world and is a great inspiration. Finally a tour of his studio. I wish you could have gone into more detail, with the tour and more in depth of his workflow with the gear, the room, the history etc.. This video was so rushed...Warren has given so much for the pro audio world, we need to give him a lot more love than just skimming the surface. I really mean this in the most positive way possible. I appreciate what you have done though, I'm happy you have taken the initiative in making this video. Maybe a part 2?
Yeah! I’m ready for a part 2 next time I’m there!
Kristian definitely did a great job in the short time we had! More to come!
Sehr schön. Ihr seid ein gar feines Gespann ;-) Weiter so! \m/
Vielen danke
That riff you came up with for this series of NAMM videos is amazing
That's the song that we have been recording at the studios in LA.
This will go inside my academy. People can watch the session documentary, get the tracks, mix the song themselves, check out my tracks through Lemmy's rig etc.
That will be soooo cool!
It’s pretty darn awesome isn’t it?!
@@KohleAudioKult going to be amazing
Like most PLAPers, I was waiting for this. Thanks to both of you. With very limited space, my favourite pieces would be the 500 series Pultecs, or exchange my C1 with a creme, although I'm pretty happy with the sound.
Thanks ever so much Peter!
Great studio tour. Always loved watching Warrens videos and trying to figure out everything he has going on gear wise. Warren if you're reading this, you're missing a Driftwood Purple Nightmare ,lol .
He used to own one! Don't know where and how it went! Warren?
@@KohleAudioKult now that is interesting. I didn't know that. Those amps are so good.

Welcome!
JCM 900s are The Rage Against The Machine sound and that’s a forever Rocker tone. I’m a 800 guy but RATM changed my mind as Warren digs too.
That’s very interesting to know! Thanks for sharing Manny!
Hi Kristian, Thanks for doing a tour at Spitfire studio, Massive fan of Warren and all at produce like a pro, Have a great day, all the best.
Thanks ever so much Darren! You Rock!
Cool, Succint Studio tour 👍
Thanks Ron!! You Rock
dbx 165 was the first compressor I learnt to use, still my favourite hardware compressor. and yes, I usually have the auto button in
Great compressor
Warren really knows his stuff...he learnt the old school way so I always have time and respect for him. Glad to see he still uses the DBX comps and Pultecs...U47...the best. The Cadac..did that come from Rockfield? And what's going on with the Quadraverb! Ha ha..
I LOVE the Quadaverb! Check out the 'Kings Chamber' preset! It's incredible!
@@Producelikeapro Another thing I wish I hadn't sold in the 90s!

@@stevedj1960 you can pick them up! They are very affordable!
Interesting find on the 500 Series Pultec. I personally use JLM500 Pultecs and can embarrass myself at times ranting about them, so with these, I've never jonesd for a "real" Pultec. But like the Pultec 500 series you have, I did a direct shootout when I was about to buy my buddies Forrsell SMP500 against his own Gordan Model 5 19" and honestly, if anything I preferred the SMP and it was less than 1/4 the price! Oh, and the BA 312a is such a fantastic API build. I really miss them.
Yes, the BAE 312a is truly wonderful!
Cool one!
Thanks ever so much!
fantastic
Thanks ever so much
10 seconds in , this should be epic ......
Haha thanks
fookin love this shit 2 heads in the shed
Haha thanks ssyne!
I just bought the g12m for my 212 cab. And it was a nice surprise, it said “made in uk”. Who knew?
I’m thinking of buying the H too, to replace the other g12t75 that I know Kristian loves.
SSL are my favs. Great video. My goto channel is always your.
That’s marvellous
Fantastic, but now we need to see a tour of your studio ;)
That’s also planned!
Exactly!
I love all the gear! He seems to find a use of everything from classic expensive to budget friendly pieces. I’m curious about the Alesis Quadraverb uses? Mainly electric guitar? I agree JCM 900 are highly underrated. Also love the Spitfire portrait, or is it a Hurricane? Cheers!
I use the Quadraverb 'Kings Chamber' on Drums! It's amazing!
P.S It's a Spitfire! The Studio is called Spitfire, I LOVE Aviation!
@@Producelikeapro Awesome! I guess I should’ve made that connection lol!

Yes! Exactly!
Yay-Plap in The House! What a weird SSL console! :-)
Handy little console! 🤪🤘
Haha weird? Weird amazing? YES!
I’m gonna grab those Pultec 500s Wowza!
Didn’t know there was something like a 500 Pultec either.
But I have heard Pultecs with solid state make-up gain stages and they sounded great.
Hey Manny! I'm super curious about those too. I have a stereo "pultec" from IGS, but I honestly don't use it that much.
@@hoborec fantastic!
@@KohleAudioKult yes, they are really good!
I just want to point out that Bark of dog from BOZ doesn't do the subsynth thing. It has three operating modes: Resonant filter (Classic), Boost-attenuation (Passive), and both combined Combo.
It's Sasquatch Kick Machine 2 from BOZ which does the subsonic enhancement (and also the white noise attack trick).
Also there is the Brainworx bx_subsynth which is in their own words " a meticulous model of the legendary dbx 120XP Subharmonic Synthesizer’s Waveform Modeling™ engine".
Cheers!
Oh damn!
Thanks! I’ll update that later
Thanks A G for letting us know!

which speakers and cabinets did warren huart use
You’ll see that in my next video! 🤘

2 of my fav studio nerds together at last - love it :) can u 2 get married already so we can have content every day with u 2 :D j/k :D
hahaha I'm not the wives would be happy about that!
Who's the Aussie producer who co-designed the speakers?
There’s a link to the company below. I’m pretty sure you’ll find the information there.
Neither of you ever fail to put a clear mirror in front of my (ignorance and) lack of experience: it has never crossed my mind to swap the optos in my vocal chain for a 160 or to highpass+boost at the same frequency with my SSL strips...
Yes, the boost and cut thing is very useful!
0:31 "His guitars" --> I guess you have a reason to do part II now 😉
Noted! 😋
YES! Let's do it!
Warren - You're not big on the 5150, are you Kohle?
Kohle - *internal screaming* NO.
🤪🥶🤪
Haha I know he likes them, he just wants people to use something else as well and get creative!
@@Producelikeapro Would that I could but creativity costs cash and Peavey's are cheap :p
i like jcm 900s . no shame

In my head, Eric was under the desk the entire time.
He was in the back of the 4x12 cab where he lives 😋
@@KohleAudioKult haha shhh...don't tell anyone!
I don’t think Warren has enough Pultecs
Haha! Best comment!
Haha I know! 8 is NOT enough!
Imagine having to replace a faulty cable in Warren's den..😔
Haha it happens, every now and then, although we do use the best quality cables we can!
I just want to rip that plastic film off the EVH Stealth badge.

Great Vid, I love Warren have learned alot from him but! There is so much crap around his studio drives me crazy, what a mess.. My problem not his. Thanks for the tour..
It’s called: Creative Chaos! 💪💥
@@KohleAudioKult haha it certainly is!
I'm sure I saw a studio tour about 2-3 years ago?
I love Warrens content and gear! But How is his studio acoustically treated? If you are a pro you just " know your room" I guess? No bass traps or panels etc behind speakers...
This is a room within a room, all of the acoustic treatment is inside the room. There are bass traps built it, if you look to the ceiling you’ll see the angles etc. when you purpose build a room you can build everything in, if you’re taking an existing room then sure you’ll put bass traps up, but all the walls in this room are cloth over traps. Thanks for your concern haha
@@Producelikeapro wow houdini acoustics, more than meets the eye. Thank you! No concerns for you, iam inspired by your work and content!
I gotta say that compared to all the other rooms I was in in LA, Warren‘s control room sounded the most linear!
Really good!

Great tour, great gear, great people but this studio needs a major cleanup, it's too crowded. Looks like half the stuff in their hasn't been used for the past 20 years. My prescption is selling half the gear, buying a vaccum cleaner a put on a fresh coat of paint or something.
