- 'Analyze my orienteering' is a series of headcam orienteering movies made by Ivan Sirakov where you can analyze, comment and help him become better in sports. The other aim of the project is to make Orienteering more popular all around.

This 50th episode is from our 1st training camp in Switzerland for the upcoming WOC in Flims, 2023. It was a middle distance "private" selection race for the Bulgarian team. Course making from far away.. I did huge mistakes on 1st, 3rd and 4th. Then maybe a decent performance all the way to the finish with some small here and there but too late :) Video is up to 6th control so mostly the part where I was walking and looking for the controls.

Thanks for showing this Ivan, it's good to know that even folks who run at WOC can still forget how to relocate! Tough terrain though, looks like shit visibility for white forest.
yeah, thanks :) the first visit to these terrains was tough one :) but I'm not in my best shape though.

How you create this kind of video? I mean how to add video from livelox to my GoPro?
Hey! This doesn’t come from livelox. It is combined from a Quickroute export and the video with OrientView software. You have to check it.

Is it normal to map this kind of terrain ? This should be called "who's the lucky guy?", instead of orienteering...
WOC map was way more accurate and easy to read. I think the main problem here was that our courses were made without anybody visiting the terrain in advance so then sometimes you use features that are not OK for a control placement.
