I really think this is the one of my favorite ladies dance groups in the whole world., If they where a size 12 shoe I have something that can relate with them. I can where a size 12 girl shoe.
I will always have a special place in my heart for Kara - they had their own style and sound. Sadly their success in Japan (they were probably more popular there than in Korea) led to their downfall as DSP decided not to promote them much in Korea (For girl groups only SNSD seems to be successful in both countries - but SNSD is a special case as neither the Wonder Girls, 2Ne1, 4Minute nor any of the other girl groups really promoted heavily in Japa; T-ara is the same (largely ignored in Korea but heavily popular in China - but they make plenty of money in the Chinese market it doesn't matter).
I remember watching this video and saying how much growth Kang Ji-young experienced like she came out of the woodworks like hayy bitches I am here to SLAY! I really do miss this line-up....If only a miracle would happen and they would all form another group in another agency haha lol
Nothing is forever. If, and when, Nicole and/or Jiyoung leaves KARA, KARA will cease to exist. The members are growing up and their interests may lie elsewhere. If you want to remember them buy their music.
Willfull Misconduct DSP stated not long ago that Kara will continue with the three remaining members, and at one point, they said they would be adding two new trainees. I don't always trust DSP to stick to what they announce, but I doubt they will just dump Kara--it has been really one of their most productive flagship groups. Even if they gut the whole group and start with brand new members, it would still be better then scrapping the name and starting something fresh. People know and recognize Kara, and even the name itself can be marketed even if the members are not completely the same. From a business stand point, it would be insane to have Kara cease to exist.

However, for those who grew up with, and came to know and love the individual members of KARA, it may be a great deal more difficult to accept new members than one might think. Maybe "accept' isn't the right word, but the groups overall dynamic will certainly change. I am one of those who will find it difficult. I like to think that I keep an open mind, but this is big. With a larger group like SNSD, RANIA, 9MUSES, and others, one or two dropping out doesn't seem too terrible. But one or two dropping from a small group, the hole is much larger and the patch much more obvious. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking about it too much. Willfull Misconduct I can understand that, and to me it does not seem like that huge of an effect, but I never really considered myself a Kamilia, and I am certain to those that are, it must be tough to see members replaced, especially, as you said, when you become attached to a certain dynamic in the group over long periods of time. Perhaps, a better way to understand you original comment then, is that the KARA as we have known it will cease to exist. To that, I may agree since, even though the majority of members are remaining, they will never have the same feel even if the quality remains equal with new members. I know that if 4Minute ever dropped Jihyun, I don't think I would ever see 4Minute the same way again. So, in a way, I think I agree with you now.

Although my favorite girl group ever is SNSD, I have to admit that KARA's songs fit Japan very well. it's very hip, swaggy and the beat is really fun and very "dance-able". Plus Japanese people like techno and lights and cool colors which KARA brings to the table best compared to other girl groups. Plus who doesn't want to see Goo Hara's hairflip.. like wtf.

Hara stayed at the lower level. Jiyoung stayed at the upper level so her head often hit the ceiling when she sat up in bed.
