+Michael Scarola Thanks Michael, I was considering that option, but chose to leave them in. The two back pins seems to help lock it in place, but that could change with this kit. ;-)
Im about to start mine! I just got necessary paint yesterday at my hobby shop. I will say it is not the nicest 69 charger kit out there. It shows its age. I did contemplate using RMs 69 charger R/T instead to build a General. But i am going to build the mpc charger.
Coming along nicely Michael. Be sure to test fit the front bumper/grill and rear bumper to the body......keep your files handy and your patience in check haha
+MindlessModelWorks Thanks Kenny! Yea, I'm starting to experience the "fit" issues, especially with the roll bar and it does appear that the body does not sit down in place at all. Arghh! :-)
Nice first episode I will save this In my model tutorials video`s on me channel for further reference. Look forward to more updates................................................................................................Ken
What do you make of the random unmentioned part next to the dizzy cap (23) on the tree? It's adjacent to the inertia block, I reckon it's the CB radio. I know I love a mystery MPC... but, cummon, haha.
+Steve Watts Lol, I forgot to mention that in my video. Spent a few minutes going back and forth between the instructions sheet and the sprue tree. I think you may be right. Does this mean I have to scratch build an CB antennae! :-)
Nice job so far Mike! I'm currently building one of these and found the interior tub fits better by removing those 4 raised pins on the floor pan.

Looking good Mike! Lots a good info you are providing here for anyone interested in building this kit! Thanks for sharing!!

Well, you got some work done on the car and looking good so far! They say that there is a fit issue with the roll bar and the body sitting down right!
+MindlessModelWorks Thanks Kenny! Yea, I'm starting to experience the "fit" issues, especially with the roll bar and it does appear that the body does not sit down in place at all. Arghh! :-)
I might show my adventure in building my 1:16 scale General Lee

The roll cage is to wide. It will stick our from under the roof. I removed about 1/16 on each side of part 8@9 to make it fit better.
+Ray 1965 Thanks Ray, I checked out your videos on this. Wish me luck! ;-)
