- 1. There are a lot of false and illegal FIRs are lodged in Pakistan.
2. After registration of FIR, there is a lengthy process which accused has to face for example, bail investigation, challan submission by police in the court, framing of charge, trial commencement and at the end the decision which takes a lot of time and expenses as well.
3. But what can an accused do who has not committed such offence as mentioned in FIR and there exist reasonable grounds
4. So, in this case, you can file Criminal Miscellaneous application under section 561-A Cr.PC but very important is that you should have knowledge know which FIR can be quashed and which cannot or difficult ?
5. In this video, I am giving you references of many judgments (2018 Y L R 2668 & 2018 P Cr. L J 826),in which FIR were quashed
6. Not only FIR but a complaint can also be quashed.
Power of High Court
561-A. Saving of inherent power of High Court. Nothing in this Code shall be deemed to limit or affect the inherent power of the High Court to make such orders as may be necessary to give effect to any order under this Code; or to prevent abuse of the process of any Court or otherwise to secure the ends of justice.
If simple stance is taken that FIR is false and frivolous, it is not a ground for Quashment of FIR and where alternate remedy are available, the FIR is not quashed by high court and in such case trial court can acquit the accused under Section 249-A Cr. P.C and 265-K Cr. P.C, as the case may be, at any stage of the proceedings and in the circumstances of each case

If FIR on genuine grounds under pressure prepare ikhraj report and approved by ilaqa magistrate. Where this cancellation illegally got cancelled by police under pressure can be challenged.
